An unexpected “man overboard” moment at Walt Disney World Resort has amassed attention online, bringing some laughter to Disney Parks fans during the end of the busy holiday season. The incident, caught on camera, occurred on EPCOT‘s classic boat ride, Living with the Land, when guests spotted a soaked Figment plush toy stranded on the sandy shore of one of the greenhouses.
Living with the Land: A Disney Parks Favorite
Living with the Land, located in the Land Pavilion at EPCOT, has been educating and entertaining guests since 1982. The slow-moving boat ride takes visitors through a series of greenhouses showcasing innovative and sustainable farming techniques. From vertical farming to aquaculture, the ride highlights ways to reduce waste and feed the planet while also growing produce served at Walt Disney World Resort restaurants.
While Living with the Land is typically a calm and relaxing attraction, seasonal decorations and constantly changing plant life keep it fresh and interesting for repeat visitors. This week, however, one Disney Park guest’s ride took an unexpected turn.
Figment Overboard
This week, Instagram user @magiccoordinator_and_boymomma shared a video capturing a Figment plush toy that had somehow ended up off the boat and onto the sandy shore. The caption read:
“Man overboard! Have you ever lost something on a ride?”

One Disney Park guest, @travelwithlindap, replied: “We just rode this today and this made me laugh out loud!!”
“I think Figment found the ‘special’ plants that they keep tucked away,” @tmiller_time joked.
The moment prompted fans to share their own stories of lost items on Disney Park attractions.
“We lost one of my daughter’s shoes on that ride,” @t1dthor wrote. “Ended up having to buy her the Disney Native shoes because we didn’t have extras and they were the only shoes we could find quickly.”
