This past weekend, guests on Living with the Land witnessed yet another sinking incident on the long-running EPCOT attraction, marking the third time in under a month that a boat has tipped into the water.
A Series of Boat Malfunctions at EPCOT

The first sinking occurred on October 31, 2025, when two separate TikTok videos captured footage of a boat taking on water. Riders attempted to shift their weight to stabilize the vehicle before choosing to evacuate directly onto the “shore.”
@michellewalksdisney Current situation. Boat in front of me started to sink and all occupants had to evacuate. We ended up chilling in our boat until cast members escorted us off and out the back. And people say living with the land is boring!! 😆 #epcot #livingwiththeland #wdw #fyp #sinkingship
On November 18, a second boat went down, soaking the guests on board. Disney cast members quickly intervened, assisting everyone off the ride and offering dry shoes and complimentary Lightning Lane passes to make up for the inconvenience.
In both cases, the attraction temporarily closed as all boats were escorted off the route. However, Living with the Land reopened shortly afterward with no reported injuries.
A Third Incident on Living with the Land

Over the weekend, another boat began sinking on Living with the Land. TikTok user @beka027mmp, who was riding behind the affected vessel, shared footage that showed the boat tilting dangerously low. “Living with the Land boat might be going down,” the guest wrote, later saying that the ride vehicle “looked worse in person.”
@beka027mmp Luckily, they made it! But it looked worse in person. Glad we didn’t have a Titanic situation on our hands. #titanic #livingwiththeland #epcot #boat #overboard
Unlike the previous two events, guests did not need to evacuate, but the visible tilt was enough to catch the attention of Disney Parks fans online.
Cast Members Confirm Something Isn’t Right
In the comments beneath the video, several current and former Walt Disney World Resort cast members weighed in on the situation.

“The boat shouldn’t be that low down… -A former land cast [member],” one user wrote, confirming that the Living with the Land ride vehicle was not operating correctly.
Walt Disney World Resort has not issued a statement addressing the series of incidents on Living with the Land. Despite the recent problems, the EPCOT attraction was open and running normally at the time this story was published.
