The Walt Disney Company has been called out time and again for “moving away from family values” and becoming inappropriate for the audiences they once served because of “pandering to woke audiences.” Many have claimed they will be moving away from Disney, expressing their disappointment with the House of Mouse, although recently, some fans have called these critics out for being performative.
However, few have ever been touted as a replacement for the Walt Disney Company—truthfully, because very few can take on the entertainment giant with how widespread and extensive its network is and how prolific a company it is.
This said, one production house has now been touted as a possible Disney replacement by Fox News. Here’s the story.
The Logos Theatre in Taylor, South Carolina, “holds to the foundational faith values that built America … perhaps the values the Disney brand used to have.” Part of an umbrella organization called the Academy of the Arts, Logos is Greek for “word,” and is said to have a deeper theological meaning. According to the article, “logos” is the “principle of divine reason and creative order, identified in the Gospel of John with the second person of the Trinity incarnate in Jesus Christ.”
The production house’s artistic director Nicole Stratton told “Lighthouse Faith” podcast, “We’re realizing God has raised us up at such a time as this.”
Stratton also reportedly mentioned “the dilemma facing parents who just want their children to see wholesome entertainment that affirms their values” as opposed to “indoctrinating their children” with secular views on gender.
While the outlet does admit the production house is more of a David to Disney’s Goliath, it believes that this theatre is a good substitute for parents who want to move away from Disney, given its recent developments.
