Former Loki Actor Faces Homelessness, Emotional Plea Sparks Action

Years after portraying Loki, one Marvel alumnus has revealed that he is now facing homelessness.

Marvel Fame and a Promising Start

Jack Veal made his mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) during the first season of Loki on Disney+. Playing Kid Loki, a younger variant of Tom Hiddleston’s iconic God of Mischief, Veal captivated audiences in two standout episodes. With the show’s Multiverse theme introducing unique Loki variants like Sylvie and Classic Loki, Veal’s portrayal was seen as a potential stepping stone toward a Young Avengers storyline in the MCU.

Beyond Marvel, Veal also appeared in the acclaimed drama The End of the F**ing World*, further solidifying his acting credentials. However, his off-screen life tells a far less glamorous story.

‘Loki’ Star Makes Heartbreaking Revelation

On TikTok, Veal disclosed the abuse he faced at home and its aftermath.

“Hi. I’m a famous actor, I’m 17 and I’m homeless,” Veal said in a clip shared on Sunday. “You may know me from Loki, The End of the F***ing World, or various other movies where I played important roles. I haven’t mentioned much about what’s been going on in my life, but I think it’s time to reveal the truth. Without delving too much into the details, I was abused at home. It was physical violence, emotional abuse and etcetera.”

Veal went on to add that he has “nowhere else to go” and that “social services refuse to help me, despite what I have told them. I am desperate. I’ve been sleeping in the streets. I am currently sleeping in a trailer that has smashed-in windows, is unsafe and is two hours away from my work, which means I struggle to get to work every day.”

The video also revealed that Veal is autistic and has ADHD, as well as being screened for bipolar disorder and psychosis, and racked up hundreds of thousands of views within a matter of days.

A Viral Plea Leads to Help

In another update yesterday, Veal revealed that social services have since reached out to him to arrange a meeting to help him find accommodation or place him in foster care.

Veal’s emotional TikTok resonated with thousands. In a follow-up video, Veal revealed that social services in the U.K. have since reached out to arrange a meeting to explore housing or foster care options. “I don’t know what you guys have done, but it’s gotten out there, and it’s really, really helped me,” he shared gratefully.
