Longest Line Ever? EPCOT Guests Report Ride Queue Stretching Beyond Expectations!

If there’s one time of year when Walt Disney World reaches peak levels of excitement—and crowds—it’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s. With kids off school, adults on holiday breaks, and Florida’s mild winter weather beckoning visitors, the parks are teeming with guests. While the crowds can be overwhelming, the magic of the season remains undeniable.

EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is a prime example, offering global holiday traditions, festive food booths, and performances like the iconic Candlelight Processional. Over at the Magic Kingdom, Main Street, U.S.A. sparkles with decorations, and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party brings festive cheer to life.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios adds to the magic with Sunset Seasons Greetings, where the Hollywood Tower Hotel transforms into a holiday spectacle. Meanwhile, Disney’s Animal Kingdom enchants visitors with seasonal projections on the Tree of Life and special holiday character appearances.

But even these festive delights can’t distract from the staggering wait times that accompany this busy season, especially at EPCOT.

A Line Across Pavilions for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

One of the most jaw-dropping moments during this holiday rush occurred at EPCOT’s France Pavilion, where the line for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure grew so long that it stretched into the neighboring Morocco Pavilion!

This unexpected sight left one guest, X (formerly Twitter) user @TheConnorWeb, completely stunned.

IM SORRY WHAT?

REMY LINE IS LITERALLY IN A DIFFERENT COUNTRY

To put this in perspective, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is located at the back of the France Pavilion. For the line to reach Morocco, it had to snake through the entirety of France, illustrating just how popular the ride remains.

Though long lines are common during the holidays, this one’s sheer length was extraordinary.

Record Wait Times Across the Parks

EPCOT wasn’t the only park seeing record-breaking wait times. On December 26, attractions across Walt Disney World reported staggering queues. Magic Kingdom’s TRON Lightcycle / Run saw average waits of two hours, while Kilimanjaro Safaris at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios hovered around the same mark.

Even perennial favorites like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance exceeded two-hour waits. But the longest wait of the day? That honor went to Avatar Flight of Passage in Pandora – The World of Avatar, where guests stood in line for over 220 minutes—nearly four hours—to ride through Pandora on the back of a banshee.

Would you wait hours in a line that spans multiple pavilions to ride a favorite attraction? Or would you skip the queues and focus on soaking in the holiday magic elsewhere in the parks? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
