There are so many exciting parts of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation — the rides, the shows, the food, the gorgeous hotels. Every trip to Disney World is sure to bring lasting memories. And while the attractions and the food are sure to make you smile, there is another aspect of Disney World vacations that people look forward to. And that is trying all the unique drinks the massive resort has to offer.

The best place to go for exciting and delicious drinks is absolutely the World Showcase at EPCOT. Each of the World Showcase’s eleven pavilions has their specialty drinks, many of which you can’t find anywhere else.

What Is Drinking Around the World?

Drinking Around the World has become a somewhat controversial, but very popular, thing to do at EPCOT’s World Showcase. Guests will head from pavilion to pavilion and try one drink at each location. While the typical Drinking Around the World challenge is supposed to be completed in one day, you can always modify it to fit your group. And, as long as you pace yourself (and drink plenty of water), it can be a really fun thing for your party to do.

What Countries Are in EPCOT’s World Showcase?

There are eleven countries in EPCOT’s World Showcase. Guests can travel the world and visit Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, Canada, and the American Adventure. Each of these amazing pavilions has its own shopping and dining locations. They even have their very own shows and attractions.

There’s no need for a passport when you visit the World Showcase!

The Best Drink In Each Country

Mexico

There is a lot of debate over which direction to go in when starting your World Showcase Adventure. But a lot of people say they will only ever start by heading towards the Mexico pavilion. It is the absolute Disney mecca for all things margarita.

If you are heading in that direction, then you definitely need to try the La Cava Avocado Margarita. Made with Tromba blanco tequila, melon liqueur, fresh avocado, and lime juice. It is served frozen with a hibiscus salt rim.

This mouthwatering drink is light, refreshing, and perfect for a hot day walking around the Florida theme park. Many people only think of avocado as something that you eat, but the masters at Disney have managed to expertly put the classic California fruit into drink form!

This incredible drink can be found at La Hacienda de San Angel, the La Cava De Tequila Bar, and the San Angel Inn Restaurante. If you can’t make it to EPCOT, have no fear! The La Cava Avocado can also be found at Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs.

Norway

The Norway pavilion doesn’t always get the love that it deserves, but it is more popular with those guests who love princesses. The pavilion is not only home to the incredibly popular attraction, Frozen Ever After, but guests can also dine with Disney princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. A number of princesses call Akershus Royal Banquet Hall home, including Belle, Rapunzel, Ariel, Tiana, and Snow White.

But if you are looking for a delicious adult beverage, then you’ll want to head over to Kringla Bakeri of Kafe. It’s at this mouthwatering bakery where you can purchase the Frozen Viking Coffee.

The Frozen Viking Coffee is made with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur, Kamora Coffee Liqueur, and Coffee-Chocolate Sauce. It is garnished with Coffee-Chocolate Crunch. For those who want something a little lighter, there is even a non-frozen version of the drink.

China

The China Pavilion may be one of the most beautiful pavilions in the World Showcase. Full of bright colors and blooming flowers, it is a place that will put you at ease.

If you are looking for an adult beverage to complement your perfect afternoon, then head over to the Nine Dragons Restaurant. The stunning restaurant has mouthwatering options like Chicken Pot Stickers, Crispy Duck Bao Buns, Sweet & Sour Shrimp, and Caramel-Ginger Ice Cream. And the drinks are next level.

The top choice for a drink at this top restaurant has to be the Lychee Blossom. A lychee is a tropical fruit that is native to China and looks like the inside of a grape once it is peeled. It has a light and delicious flavor that makes it perfect for drinks.

The Lychee Blossom is made with Lychee Liqueur, Sparkling Water, and Rose Syrup. If you aren’t a fan of floral notes in your drink, then opt for the Jade Beauty, which is made with Vodka, Honeydew Melon Liqueur, Pineapple Juice, and Lemon Lime Soda.

Germany

When you think of Germany — especially the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT — you probably think of huge steins filled to the brim with beer. And you would be right. The Germany Pavilion is an incredible stop for those who love to try different kinds of beer.

This is probably one of the few pavilions on the list that will have a beer as the top choice instead of a cocktail. But, if you are stopping for a drink in Germany, then you definitely need to try the Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen. This light beer is made with 50% wheat beer and 50% “grapefruit flavored” drink.

The Schöfferhofer Pink Grapefruit Hefeweizen is not too hoppy and not too strong, so it can be enjoyed even by those who aren’t the biggest fans of beer.

Italy

Who doesn’t love a big, comforting bowl of pasta or a piece of ooey-gooey pizza? One of the perfect places to head in EPCOT is the Italy Pavilion. There you can dine on classic and absolutely delicious and classic Italian dishes. Better yet, you can indulge in some absolutely delectable cocktails and crisp Italian wine.

For a unique drink experience, head over to the Tutto Italia Ristorante or the Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar. There, you can try the Limoncello flight. Limoncello is a signature liqueur made by steeping lemon zest in concentrated vodka until the oils from the zest are released. The resulting mixture is then combined with simple syrup.

The Limoncello Flight features Fabrizia Limoncello, Fabrizia Crema di Limoncello, and Fabrizia Crema di Pichacchio. It’s light, refreshing, and full of Italian flavor!

The American Adventure

In 2019, Disney opened a brand-new restaurant in the American Adventure — the Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue. Like any American barbecue spot, Regal Eagle has a number of beers and hard ciders on its menu. But for something a little different and with a little kick, we recommend the Tennessee Lemonade.

The Tennessee Lemonade is made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, peach flavoring, and Minute Maid Lemonade. Even though the drink has whiskey, the peach and lemonade make this very refreshing and a great complement to your mouthwatering Regal Eagle Smokehouse barbecue.

Japan

There are several Asian countries represented in the World Showcase, including Japan. The Japan Pavilion has several great dining and snack locations, including Kabuki Café, Katsura Grill, Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, Takumi-Tei, and Teppan Edo.

For one heck of a delicious — and completely different — type of drink for your Drinking Around the World adventure, then you’ll want to head to Kabuki Café. There, you can purchase the Sake Slushy. The Sake Slushy is an alcoholic shaved ice that is available in several flavors — blood orange, coconut, pineapple, and blackberry.

If a slushy isn’t your thing, then head over to Teppan Edo and try the Violet Sake. The Violet Sake is made with sake (a Japanese rice wine), purple pear, and lime juice.

Morocco

Perhaps one of the most overlooked pavilions in the EPCOT World Showcase is the Morocco Pavilion — which is located between Japan and France. The Morocco Pavilion has some gorgeous shops and there are often quiet places to sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty. If you want to enjoy a refreshing cocktail while taking in the ambiance, then head to Spice Road Table.

Spice Road Table is a lovely sit-down spot that offers a number of mouthwatering small plates that are perfect for sharing. This includes Grilled Lamb Kefta, Spicy Shrimp, and the restaurant’s signature House-made Hummus Fries.

For a cocktail, be sure to order the Iced Mint Tea. Morocco is famous for its Moroccan mint tea, so the Iced Mint Tea is made with Moroccan Mint Tea and Bombay Sapphire Gin.

France

This may be one of the easiest choices there is to make at the World Showcase. If you are looking for a gorgeous spot to relax and take a break from your busy EPCOT day, then head straight for Les Vins des Chefs De France in the France Pavilion. It is a kiosk located right across from the popular restaurant, Chefs de France, in, of course, the France Pavilion, which is near the International Gateway.

You’ll see several scrumptious options on the menu, but you are going to want to order the Orange Slush — also called the Grand Marnier Slush. This fruity slush is made with Grey Goose L’Orange, Rum, Grand Marnier, and orange juice. It is filling because it is a slush, but it is also light and fruity.

The Orange Slush is one of the most iconic drinks in the World Showcase, and for good reason.

United Kingdom

When a lot of people think about the United Kingdom, their minds may go straight to pubs, which might mean fish and chips. However, it also means different kinds of beer and cider. So it makes sense that, when choosing a drink when you are in the UK Pavilion, you immediately think of a beer or a cider. But how about both?!

Over at the Rose & Crown Pub — which also has a sit-down dining room –, there are nearly a dozen “Pub Blends”, which combine two different kinds of beer or a type of beer and a type of hard cider.

Our top Drink Around the World pick is the Snake Bite Imperial Pint. This pub blend is made with Half Harp Lager and Half Cider for a light and refreshing beverage.

If you want something with a bit more of a bite, then we suggest the Black Velvet Imperial Pint. This blend is made with half cider and half Guinness Stout.

Canada

O Canada! Our friendly neighbors to the north. EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion has one of the most high-end and popular dining locations in the park — Le Cellier Steakhouse. Le Cellier brings guests into the cellar of a Canadian chateau and has some truly incredible dishes like a Filet Mignon with mushroom risotto, Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup, and Maple Crème Brûlée.

However, if you are looking for a unique and yummy cocktail, then you’ll actually want to head to the popcorn cart in the pavilion. At the popcorn cart, you’ll be able to purchase the Ottawa Apple. The Ottawa Apple is made with Crown Royal Whisky, Maple, Apple Infusion, and Cranberry Juice.

Non-Alcoholic Options

While Drinking Around the World can be a really fun thing to do, some guests are either not of legal drinking age or they just aren’t big drinkers. If you fall into one of those categories, don’t fret! There are still a ton of great non-alcoholic options that are sure to leave a smile on your face.

Over in the American Adventure, be sure to snag the American Dream at Fife & Drum Tavern. This frozen concoction is made with Frozen Fanta Wild Cherry, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry Slushy. It’s great on a hot day, but also not so sweet that you can’t drink the whole thing.

Of course, the Mexico Pavilion is known for its out-of-this-world margaritas, but did you know that they also have a delicious non-alcoholic version? Head over to La Cantina de San Angel where you can enjoy the La Cantina Slushy.

The China Pavilion’s dining spots are loaded with tea options, so of course, there are also a number of non-alcoholic options. When in the China Pavilion, head over to the Joy of Tea stand. There, you can order the Bubble Milk Tea, which comes in both sweetened and unsweetened versions. The Bubble Milk Tea is made with Peach, Black Tea, and Boba.

Tips For Drinking Around the World

Hydrate

This might be the most important tip if you plan to conquer EPCOT’s Drinking Around the World challenge. Days at Walt Disney World are long and hot. If you don’t hydrate — WITH WATER — enough, then you can be looking at a pretty miserable end to your day. And you’ll most likely not wake up the next day feeling too great either.

Some people like to follow the one drink, one water rule. That could be helpful in not only giving your body the water that it needs but will help you not get too crazy too quickly.

Disney does sell bottles of Dasani water, but guests are welcome to bring their own water. There are also water refill stations throughout the four theme parks. And don’t forget, Disney quick service spots will give you free cups of water if you ask!

Even if you’re not drinking, always remember to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

Pace Yourself and Don’t Mix Too Many Types of Alcohol

It is important to remember that there are eleven pavilions in the EPCOT World Showcase. Then if you add in some of the kiosks, that means that you will be having at least eleven drinks. That is a lot of alcohol to drink in one day. Pacing yourself is important if you want to make it through the day. Pacing yourself and making sure you get some food in your system can really help.

There’s a popular saying, “Liquor before beer, never fear. Beer before liquor, never sicker.” If you are going to venture from pavilion and pavilion and try various libations, try not to mix too many different types of booze or you may regret it. You could also decide to just taste different beers that each country offers.

Don’t Go Too Crazy

We know that visiting Walt Disney World Resort is all about having a fun time. But make sure that you are reasonable and acting appropriately while you have that good time.

Guests at Disney World

When guests step onto Disney World property, they automatically agree to follow the policies and procedures that are in place. That includes being required to act a certain way. The Walt Disney World Resort website has a full list of property rules, including one about behavior.

Please show common courtesy to fellow Guests and our Cast Members by not using profanity or engaging in unsafe, illegal, disruptive or offensive behavior, jumping lines or saving places in lines for others. For your safety and the safety of others, please refrain from running except in designated areas.

Disney cast members and security guards do not take kindly to guests who have too much to drink and then act like a fool. Other guests also don’t like being bothered by drunk people during their day. Because of that, Disney security has no problem escorting you (and maybe even your entire party) from the park if you have too much to drink and out in an outlandish manner.

And there you have it! Some of the best drinks you can have while drinking around EPCOT’s World Showcase! Of course, there are a number of delicious drinks that you can also get in the Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom.

Of course, everyone has their own tastes, but these are some of our top choices! Cheers!
