One of the great things about visiting the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida is the fact that there are over 400 amazing places to eat. There are spots for every craving — from tacos to French, vegetarian, sandwiches, and more.
There are also places to eat that fit every budget, from snack stands to counter service locations and sit-down restaurants with character experiences. While there are options that are more like typical theme park food — hot dogs, chicken tenders, pizza, and burgers — there are unique options that you won’t find anywhere else.

However, over the past few years, guests have been vocal about their disappointment in the quality of the food at “The Most Magical Place on Earth.” Prices were continuing to increase, while the quality of the food was not what Guests had been used to.
Now-fired CEO Bob Chapek and former CFO Christine McCarthy admitted that they were looking to cut costs and would be looking into different (code for “cheaper“) vendors. Guests took to social media to share the less-than-satisfying dishes that they were paying top dollar for.
In addition to the dwindling quality, some have stated that Disney’s food doesn’t seem to have the right amount of salt. Others say that the food that is advertised as “spicy” isn’t actually spicy like they expect it to be. One TikToker said that she has the answer as to why spicy food at Disney isn’t spicy. She also knows why a lot of the food “doesn’t have any flavor”.
The answer is: white people.

TikToker Rylee Burchfield (@itsmeryleeb) says that she works in Food and Beverage at Walt Disney World. She says that so many white people have complained about spicy food being spicy that Disney is nearly eliminated the spice.
She also said that they even received a lot of complaints about food being “spicy” when it only had salt on it, like french fries.
@itsmeryleeb #stitch with @Keith Lee No hate! I myself am personally white. But like… grow up. Drink some water and stop ruining things
Rylee says that the spicy chicken sandwich is now just a chicken sandwich. She worked at Port Orleans – French Quarter, a popular hotel on property. According to Rylee, the chefs had to remove almost all the seasoning from the jambalaya.
Many commenters agreed with Rylee on the seasoning of the food at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. They also asked why some people have to ruin it for everyone. One woman said that she even heard a Guest complain that the jambalaya at Disneyland Resort had “too much flavor.”
This ain’t a damn lie I overheard a lady complain at New Orleans square at Disneyland that the jambalaya had “too much flavor” 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Rylee ended her video by telling people that if they take a trip to Disney, and notice that their food seems under seasoned, they know exactly why that is. In the caption of her video, she says, “No hate! I myself am personally white. But like…grow up. Drink some water and stop ruining things.”
Do you think Disney food needs more seasoning? Is the spicy food spicy enough? Tell us all about it in the comments below!

Some older people with high blood pressure or heart conditions can’t have salt or spice so if salt or seasonings were avail on table, a person can use as much as they want
I noticed she didn’t complain about all the fights that are a daily happening now!
There should be a special menu for those that cannot eat the well flavored foods (aka Spicy).
The entitled need to move on.
They are also the ones causing physical altercations, or get off attractions during the ride, and/or jump the wait lines.
This behavior is increasing and Disney has done nothing to stop it.
Sounds like a large plurality of people’s needs are being addressed – If someone likes their food flavored with bear spray let them bring their own – and don’t give too much attention to a few people of questionable taste
We have had the Jambalaya at Boatwright’s on more then one occasion and you can request how hot you want it at the time you place your order. That holds true for most restaurants. If someone doesn’t want heat in their food don’t order that dish, simple. I don ‘t see a problem.
First of all, when you deal with the public, you can and will never please all. With so many food allergies, tastes, etc. It isn’t just because you are white. Apparently the writer hasn’t been around in this world long enough to understand this. I have never had anything there that taste bad at Disney. It is everyone’s personal tastes too.
Typical black person playing the race card. If you don’t like it here, go back to Africa. I’m sick of black people thinking they are entitled.
This did not just start. Disneys food has not had quality in taste for 15-20 years and is steadily declining. Lack of seasoning but lack of the quality of food. As much as charged the food itself should be top quality.
Good God Almighty! TikTokers are the most annoying 🤡🤡🤡🤡 who should definitely be banned from the parks! All they do is complain about EVERYTHING! Stay home, for crying out loud!
It is very simple to resolve the issue. The chefs should continue to make it the way that it used to be made with a spices and so on, and if it’s too spicy for certain people that don’t order it, it should be marked on the menu that it is spicy and if they don’t like spicy, don’t order it there are many things to eat at Disney World, they don’t need to order something that they can eat today. Want to change for them? You can’t satisfy everybody myself cannot eat spicy food therefore I do not order it, but I am deeply satisfied with all the choices that Disney World offers end of conversation.
She’s exactly right. And to the while person who said they’re sick of Blacks, well we are sick of racists like you. My family has been here since 1621. Get over yourself. You hardly came on the Mayflower.
I’m sorry privileged white person here I have been going to WDW for a number of years and never once found the food to hot I went to Sanna once and got a curry that tasted like a beef stew so disappointed . I would agree the food is over salty and I found that was the only seasoning to a lot of the food . I don’t like to be cast as a white person that has spoiled the food I wouldn’t cast inspersions on other colours. I would like the food to taste as authentic as possible. Many curries etc. are not meant to be over hot or you can’t taste the numerous spices and using to much salt is not something to be used instead of all the delicious spices and herbs there are.
Snow is White, Clouds are White, Computer paper is White, People are not, Sorry to bust your bubble
They say there is no such thing as reverse racism…..
Spice is NOT flavour. It is illogical to eat spicy foods.
It’s racist readeric like this that has caused me NOT to spend my money at Disney and to spend it at other parks elsewhere.
White girl that lives spicy food here! My palate is extremely experienced. Disney is an experience. Foods from other countries are an experience. I love my Indian friend’s cooking. My mouth is salvating just thinking about it. Recently I went to a local restaurant and ordered the “hottest” chicken wings they offer. They were like mild for both my 13-year old daughter and myself. On the other hand, there is something to be said for food being too hot because there is a point where something is so hot, you can’t taste the food. I’ve only experienced this in one restaurant ever. Usually, I order suicide wings and enjoy them while tears are running down my face. The Indian restaurant asks which level of spice someone wants so why can’t a place like Disney do the same? That won’t work at a buffet but there’s plenty of places it would. I think the chefs should be left to do their jobs and the servers should field the tastes of the guests. If something on the buffet might be too spicy, label it. Who wants to eat flavorless food? I have had to bork with Blacks numerous times in my life. Some are good, others not so good. Can’t judge them all.
One class I had to take in college was an American History course. When we got to the slave era there was a lot of “talk” from the Black students (this was a 101 class….almost all 18 year olds). The professor (Black BTW) brought up an interesting point, a VERY interesting point. During the slave period in America (17th thru 19th centuries), survival in Africa was a struggle. Infant mortality was 50% and higher, maternal mortality was high for women who had endured 6 or more pregnancies….middle 20’s in most cases !!! They hemorrhaged. There were animal attacks (chiefly hyenas and older cats), droughts that led to tribal warfare that led to cannibalism, grasshopper and locust plagues (recall Moses and the Egyptians), and diseases that we haven’t named yet.
In short, slavery was actually salvation. The 40+ million Blacks alive in the USA would had never been born !
