This week, Magic Kingdom Park visitors discovered a fresh addition to Adventureland.
WDWNT first reported the arrival of a new face-painting station in Adventureland on December 17, noting its placement within what used to be Agrabah Bazaar. The former merchandise shop operated in a covered outdoor space that's remained shuttered since Walt Disney World Resort's 2020 pandemic closure. Despite the retail location never returning to its original purpose, physical evidence of its past life persists—shelving structures and inactive register stands still occupy portions of the footprint. Recent years have seen the space occasionally serve as a resting spot for Disney Park guests.
Prime Location Near Character Meet-and-Greet
The face-painting kiosk's positioning offers immediate visibility to families visiting nearby attractions. Princess Jasmine and Aladdin's character greeting area is situated just a short walk away, creating a natural traffic pattern that draws young Disney Park guests directly past the makeup services while they wait to meet their favorite characters.
Interested Magic Kingdom Park guests can examine available designs posted at the kiosk's entrance or request a comprehensive lookbook from Disney cast members. The operational setup follows the standard configuration found at other Walt Disney World Resort face-painting locations: guests occupy tall chairs while Disney cast members remain standing throughout the makeup application process.

Changes Across Magic Kingdom Park
The Adventureland debut coincides with the permanent closure of face-painting kiosks in other areas of Magic Kingdom Park. Disney cast members working at the new location have confirmed that two other kiosks will not be returning.
Tomorrowland's face-painting station, which had operated for numerous years in the vicinity of Space Mountain and the land's restroom complex, has been eliminated from the park's lineup.
Similarly, Storybook Circus no longer hosts its face-painting kiosk. That particular station was a relatively recent addition to Magic Kingdom Park, having launched roughly twelve months before its closure. The Storybook Circus kiosk had replaced a merchandise cart in the same area—a location that also failed to reopen following the COVID-19 pandemic shutdown.
No Official Statement on Service Consolidation
Walt Disney World Resort representatives have not provided an explanation for reducing the total number of face-painting kiosks from three locations to one.
