Magic Kingdom Priority Alert: A REVAMPED ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Ride

If there’s one Disney character who refuses to fade away, it’s Stitch. He’s mischievous, adorable, and totally unforgettable—which makes it all the more puzzling that he’s been mostly missing from Walt Disney World in recent years. But with the Lilo & Stitch (2025) live-action remake smashing box office records, it looks like Stitch might have just staged the perfect comeback.

Over Memorial Day weekend, Lilo & Stitch pulled in a staggering $183 million domestically and $341 million globally. That kind of performance doesn’t just turn heads—it kicks doors wide open. And what makes it even more intriguing is that the audience wasn’t dominated by families with small kids. It was mostly Millennials and Gen Z—folks who grew up with Stitch and clearly still adore him.

So naturally, people are asking: where is Stitch at Disney World?

Tomorrowland Is Practically Begging for a Stitch Revival

Believe it or not, Tomorrowland is in the middle of a major glow-up. TRON Lightcycle / Run debuted in 2023, giving the land a modern spark. Astro Orbiter is getting some TLC, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is gearing up for a huge refurbishment. All signs point to Disney wanting to refresh this part of Magic Kingdom—and that’s where Stitch comes in.

It’s the ideal time to reintroduce him. No one’s saying bring back Stitch’s Great Escape exactly as it was. That attraction had a reputation for being divisive. But the character? Fans never stopped loving him.

Let’s Imagine What Could Be

Picture a new Stitch experience that leans into everything fans love. Maybe a wild, space-themed ride where guests help Stitch out of trouble, or an adventure through Hawaii with alien chaos sprinkled in. Even a fun, interactive musical show could work—something that combines comedy, action, and heart.

The beauty of Stitch is that he fits Tomorrowland’s futuristic tone while also bringing that emotional core Disney is so good at. It doesn’t have to be complicated—it just has to feel like Stitch.

The Competition Just Got Real

Universal’s Epic Universe is officially here and raising the bar. With cutting-edge attractions tied to huge franchises, Disney has to respond. And what better way than with a fan-favorite IP that already has a built-in audience and a brand-new blockbuster under its belt?

Ignoring Stitch now would be a miss. This isn’t just about nostalgia—it’s about keeping Disney World exciting and relevant in an increasingly competitive theme park world.

He’s Not Just a Throwback—He’s a Star

Let’s be real—Stitch has never stopped being a fan favorite. He’s funny, chaotic, and full of heart. And fans are ready for more than just a meet-and-greet. The live-action success just confirms what many already knew: Stitch still matters.

If Disney’s serious about evolving Magic Kingdom and giving fans what they want, then bringing Stitch back in a meaningful way isn’t just smart—it’s necessary.
