Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party may be selling out quickly in some parts of the calendar, but Disney World guests haven't run out of options just yet.
As of August 12, 12 of the 38 scheduled parties are sold out, leaving 26 dates available between late August and October. The two newest sellouts are October 6 and October 29.
For anyone still deciding when to visit, price may be just as important as availability. Remaining tickets range from $139 to $224, meaning choosing the right night could save a family hundreds of dollars.
The Cheapest Remaining Parties Are in August
Four August parties remain available:
- August 23: $139
- August 25: $144
- August 28: $149
- August 30: $149
Annual Passholders can save $10 on each of those nights.
August 23 stands out as the cheapest remaining party. That's particularly notable because the first five parties of the season have already sold out.
Why haven't the remaining August nights followed?
The calendar may have something to do with it. By late August, many families are returning to school and settling back into their normal schedules. That can make a Walt Disney World vacation harder to plan, even when party tickets are cheaper.
Guests with flexible schedules could benefit from that situation.
September Gives Guests Plenty of Choices
September currently has more availability than any other month.
September 4 and September 8 are sold out, but 11 other dates remain:
September 1 ($149), September 11 ($159), September 13 ($159), September 15 ($164), September 18 ($169), September 20 ($169), September 22 ($169), September 24 ($174), September 25 ($179), September 27 ($179), and September 29 ($184).
Annual Passholders can save $10 on those tickets.
September could make sense for guests trying to balance price with the experience of visiting closer to Halloween.
There are also so many parties scheduled throughout the month that demand has plenty of room to spread out.
October Tickets Get Expensive
October still has 11 available dates, but prices increase considerably.
October 1 costs $189, followed by October 2 and October 4 at $199. October 8 costs $204.
Then comes the most expensive group.
October 15 costs $214. October 16, 18, and 22 cost $219 each. October 23, 25, and 27 cost $224.
Annual Passholder discounts are only offered on select dates through October 2. Disney currently advertises that eligible Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket during that period.
That makes late October considerably more expensive.
A family of four buying $224 tickets would spend $896 before tax just to attend the party.
Compare that with four $139 tickets for August 23, which would cost $556 before tax. That's a $340 difference.
Price alone could explain why some late-October parties remain available despite their proximity to Halloween.
These 12 Parties Are Already Sold Out
The sold-out dates are:
August 7, 11, 14, 18, and 21; September 4 and 8; and October 6, 9, 13, 29, and 31.
Halloween night disappeared especially quickly. October 31 sold out within hours of general ticket sales opening, despite having the season's highest price at $229.
That shows how much the specific date can matter.
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs from 7 p.m. until midnight, although ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom beginning at 4 p.m. Disney says tickets range from $119 to $229 across the full season.
With 26 dates still available, guests have plenty of choices. But with the sold-out list now reaching 12 nights, anyone targeting one specific party may want to keep a close eye on availability.
