If you love Moana, Auli’i Cravalho, and tropical vibes, then you will be thrilled to hear that Moana’s very own Disney attraction is getting closer and closer to an opening day in the Disney Park EPCOT! Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley has just shared not only a preview of the kind of decor and graphics that will be used on the new World Nature ride, but also a hint about the Disney Park ride’s overall style.

Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared an image in the Instagram post below and described the Journey of Water experience that will open in the Disney Park EPCOT. “Today I’m excited to share more details from our Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana attraction coming to EPCOT,” the employee of Walt Disney Imagineering wrote in the post. “This image is a preview of the graphic style that will be used throughout the attraction, inspired by the design and visual language of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Moana.”

Take a look at the beautiful image in the Instagram post and the Tweet shown below! Since the 2016 movie Moana is known for its beautiful graphics and incredible animation, as well as lots of Polynesian artwork and cultural symbols, the artwork shown below seems very fitting for the World Nature ride.

“Our team created many original pieces that focus on the dynamic movement of water as it travels around the experience,” Zach Riddley continued. “Graphics like these will guide Guests through the cycle of water in fun and engaging ways to tell our story of the vital link we share with water across our planet, and inspire the important role we all share in preserving this life-giving and life-sustaining precious resource.”

Since Moana is a Disney movie that is all about the Disney princess Moana and not only her personal passion for water but also the impossible-to-overstate importance of clean water for everyone and everything on this planet, it’s not particularly surprising that the Journey of Water experience will focus on the water cycle.

However, fans of The Land attraction and anyone who has been paying attention to the concerns about water shortages and polluted water in our world will also be pleased to learn that this ride is specifically meant to bring awareness to these issues as well as the water cycle — and, knowing Disney, the ride will most likely end with inspiring and practical tips on how every Disney Guest can help!

Imagineer Zach Ridley did say that Walt Disney Imagineering will “have much more to share soon on the details Imagineers are creating to bring this new attraction to life in World Nature”, so hopefully this means that Moana’s very own attraction will come to fruition sooner rather than later!
