Name Change and Menu Overhaul—How Disney World Is Reinventing Itself for 2025

The new year is bringing big changes to The Most Magical Place on Earth!

Disney has officially rebranded its Florida resort as Walt Disney Worlds as a marketing tactic, signaling a fresh chapter for the resort known for its iconic theme parks, resorts, and dining experiences.

The change comes alongside Disney’s new Infinite Worlds ad campaign, designed to remind guests of the resort’s sprawling size and immersive experiences. This bold move reinforces Disney’s message that every visit can feel like stepping into a new world—a not-so-subtle nod to the competitive landscape as Universal prepares for the launch of its Epic Universe theme park.

Major Menu Updates Across the Resort

Along with the rebranding, Disney has made significant menu changes across 28 restaurants. Here are some highlights:

  • Hollywood & Vine (Disney’s Hollywood Studios): The Sunrise Margarita has been removed from the breakfast cocktail menu.
  • The Mara (Animal Kingdom Lodge): Allergy-friendly options have expanded, including a plant-based Power Breakfast Bowl and Mickey-shaped waffles.
  • Kona Cafe (Polynesian Village Resort): Prices for sautéed quinoa entrees with various protein options have increased by $3.

Why the Changes Matter

This latest wave of updates is more than just a menu refresh—it’s part of Disney’s effort to stay ahead in the theme park wars. Universal’s Epic Universe promises to immerse guests in new, expansive lands, and Disney’s Infinite Worlds campaign seems to invite visitors to rediscover the many experiences spread across its parks and resorts.

Fans are already sharing mixed reactions. Some are excited about the innovative branding, while others worry that changes to beloved restaurant menus may remove their go-to favorites.
