New Disney Resorts We Can’t Wait to Stay In

Riviera Resort

Riviera Resort

The Riviera Resort is being built on the grounds of the Caribbean Beach Resort and will allow guests direct access to the Disney Skyliner system. While this resort is a member of the Disney Vacation Club family, guests can book rooms separately through the room reservation system. The resort is being situated in between Epcot and Hollywood Studios, so guests will be treated with views of both parks. In addition, guests will be able to enjoy rooftop dining at this resort to unwind after a tiring days hopping around the parks!

Reflections: A Disney Lakeside Lodge

Another addition to the DVC family, Reflections is being built on the site of the former water park at Fort Wilderness, River Country. This resort is taking its cue from nature. When opened, the resort will add an additional 1,700 rooms to the room inventory on Disney property. While eagle-eye guests taking the boat to or from Fort Wilderness can see that construction has begun, guests won’t be able to stay here until some time in 2022. As information has continued to be released, future guests have learned that this resort will also be home to a dedicated table service restaurant that is sure to be popular as it sits near the shores of Bay Lake and will excite fans of “Princess and the Frog” as it will be themed to that classic film!

Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser

The last piece of the Galaxy’s Edge addition to Hollywood Studios, this resort is going to combine luxury accommodations with a completely immersive experience. Guests will embark in a two-day long voyage aboard a ship brimming with Star Wars characters and experiences. Guests will be able to hone their lightsaber skills, participate in secret missions, as well as explore the ship and possibly even pilot various ships. In addition to the immersive experience, guests will be able to gain direct access to Galaxy’s Edge through personalized transport. Ground has been broken, but an exact opening date has not been announced, but this resort will always be on our Disney bucket list!

With the new additions to the Disney resorts, it will be difficult for us to find the time to try all of these new offerings while still honoring our favorites that currently exist (I’m looking at you, Port Orleans Riverside)! Are you excited to stay in any of these new resorts? Which one has you the most excited?
