Mickey Mouse Debuts Controversial New Look on Sunday

A brand-new look for the world’s most famous mouse is turning heads at Walt Disney World Resort. On Sunday, Mickey and Minnie Mouse appeared in exclusive new travel-inspired outfits — but only for a select group of guests.

The duo is only appearing in their new looks at the recently reimagined Disney Vacation Club ImaginAtrium – A Member Lounge, located on the second floor of EPCOT’s Imagination! Pavilion. The private lounge, which opened to members last fall after an extensive refurbishment, can only be accessed by those holding a valid DVC Membership Card and a photo ID. Guests can bring up to four others or the number of individuals listed on their Disney Resort hotel reservation.

To reach the lounge, members enter through the ImageWorks section on the first floor and use the Walter Peregoy elevator shaft. Once upstairs, Disney cast members assist with seating, offering guests complimentary snacks, device charging stations, and three Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. The space also includes a small kids’ area.

Now, in addition to these amenities, the lounge offers something truly exclusive — a chance to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in their brand-new travel-themed attire. However, the meet-and-greet is available only to DVC members enrolled in the Membership Magic Beyond program, which requires an additional annual payment of $99.
