Video: Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser Showcases Disney’s Immersive Storytelling

We’re getting closer to the official launch of the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser at Walt Disney World! This all-new totally immersive experience will take Guests from a launch pod to the Halcyon starcruiser, where they will stay for two nights. While on board, Guests will experience unique dining and entertainment offerings found only within the Star Wars universe, and they will become a part of their own Star Wars story with interactive activities and stories played out on the ship.

Speaking in the video from Walt Disney Imagineering are Portfolio Creative Executive Scott Trowbridge and Creative Director Cory Rouse, and Mikhael Tara Garver, director of immersive experiences.

This video offers us a closer look at the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser with more images from onboard the Halcyon than we have ever seen before, including a look at Rey using the newly redesigned lightstaber, and Guests taking part in interactive missions and exploring various areas of the ship like the launch pod, atrium, and dining facilities, as well as characters like droids and Chewbacca.

While onboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser, Guests will have the opportunity to totally individualize their experience by becoming a part of the Star Wars universe. This can be done not only through activities and immersive storytelling elements but even through Guests’ fashion. The new Chandrila Collection of clothing and accessories is exclusively available in a boutique off the ship’s atrium and offers everything Guests need to outfit themselves for a trip through the galaxy.

During the trip, Guests will also have an excursion to the planet of Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where they can pilot the Millennium Falcon, experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, feast on Ronto Wraps, and specialty cocktails at Oga’s Cantina and more.
