We’ve been following lots of news from Disney Cruise Line about all the new features coming to the latest ship in the fleet, the Disney Wish, which will be ready to set sail in 2022. Yesterday, we learned about new areas just for kids and toddlers with a reimagined Oceaneer Lab and the Star Wars: Cargo Bay as well as Mickey & Minnie’s Captains’ Deck. Today, we are excited to share some more details about spaces dedicated for teens and tweens for when the ship starts cruising next year!

These new hangouts aboard the Disney Wish are exclusively designed for kids ages 11-17, and they feature slightly more “grown up” designs with plenty of fun Disney details and entertainment systems plus counselor-led programming just for them.

One of the locations on the new Disney Cruise Line ship, Edge, is specifically for kids ages 11-14. Once inside, they’ll be able to hang out in a New York City-inspired loft with movies, a soda bar, and video games. The space also features a beautiful indoor solarium and games reminiscent of an outdoor city park. Edge will also feature special “photo walls,” to capture fun vacation memories!

For teens ages 14-17, Vibe is the place to be with movies, games and entertainment just for older kids. Another loft space, this one is Parisian artist-inspired with unique classical architectural elements blended with fun pop art murals and graffiti. This space includes a large scale brightly painted statue of Mickey Mouse himself with selfie station backdrops and views of the ocean.

The Disney Wish will be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to offer a third space just for teens and tweens with the opening of The Hideaway. This new location is a nice place for older kids and young adults to hang out, with smoothies, music, a dance floor and DJ booth. The space will also host karaoke contests and dance competitions. This venue will be a flexible space in terms of the events offered and can be sectioned off at select times to open as a dance club for 18-20 year olds.

A new competition for teens and tweens is also coming to the Disney Wish, themed after the Disney film, The Emperor’s New Groove! Plus special events just for this age group will be available around the ship in the Hero Zone, Luna, and more.

More details are set to be released from Disney Cruise Line soon on the upcoming launch of the Disney Wish, so we’ll be back here with updates as we know more.
