Disney Will Not Offer Theme Park Princess Experience in 2026

Sad news for Disney Parks fans: Disneyland Resort’s Princess Nite will not be making a return in 2026.

2026 Disneyland After Dark Event Line-Up

On Thursday, November 20, Disneyland Resort shared an exciting announcement: the return of Disneyland After Dark events for 2026. The series will take over Disneyland Park on select nights from January to June 2026. These after-hours events will provide guests with access to special character meet-and-greets, unique photo opportunities, themed entertainment, and more exclusive offerings from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. on event nights, along with early park entry from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

A Year Without Princess Nite

In 2023, Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite debuted at Disneyland Resort, bringing with it exclusive meet-and-greets, unforgettable entertainment, and themed food and beverages. It began with the Royal Welcome at the Disneyland Train Station, where Princess Minnie Mouse, Princess Daisy Duck, and a fanfare of trumpeters welcomed attendees. Other exclusive offerings included a Disney Princess concert featuring live performances of songs from Moana (2016), Brave (2012), and more, along with dance parties inspired by The Princess and the Frog (2009) and Wreck-It Ralph (2012).

Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite did not return in 2024 or 2025, and Disney has now seemingly confirmed it will not return in 2026.

Tickets for Disneyland After Dark 2026

Tickets for two of the 2026 Disneyland After Dark events, Sweethearts’ Nite and 70 Years of Favorites, will go on sale to Magic Key holders on December 9 (Inspire Key holders only) and 10, 2025, with tickets for the general public available on December 11. Information on ticket sales for the other events, including Pride Nite, Disney Channel Nite, and Star Wars Nite, will be released in early 2026.

It’s unclear if or when Disneyland After Dark: Princess Nite will ever return. Disney has not officially commented on any plans for the event’s future. However, it’s important to note that Pride Nite was announced in 2023, long after Disney had announced Princess Nite and Sweethearts’ Nite for that year. While Princess Nite has not yet been officially confirmed to return in 2026, there’s still hope for its comeback sometime in the future.
