Official TMNT Christmas Movie Finally Arrives — Here’s How To Watch

For over 40 years, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been a fixture of pop culture, evolving from comic books to animated series, live-action films, and blockbuster movies. The franchise's blend of humor, action, and brotherly camaraderie has ensured that Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael remain iconic figures across generations.

Now, the franchise has finally returned to theaters with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey, which has been released alongside Paramount’s feature-length film, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants.

Directed by Kent Seki, Chrome Alone 2 reunites the core creative team behind the 2023 Mutant Mayhem film. Producers Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Jeff Rowe are back, with Rowe—who directed the first Mutant Mayhem and is also set to helm the 2027 sequel.

The film also brings back the voices of Nicolas Cantu as Leonardo, Micah Abbey as Donatello, Shamon Brown Jr. as Michelangelo, and Brady Noon as Raphael, continuing with the timeline established in the 2023 blockbuster. Watch the official trailer below:

The release comes amid some big changes for the TMNT franchise. Recently, Paramount canceled the 2D animated series Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles—a small-screen companion to Mutant Mayhem—after two seasons (Season 2 is currently streaming).

Plans for The Last Ronin film, an R-rated live-action adaptation of the comic book of the same name, have now also been shelved, as the studio reshapes the TMNT franchise.

But despite these cancellations, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ cinematic universe is far from over. Chrome Alone 2 is out now, while Mutant Mayhem 2 is scheduled for 2027. Beyond that, Paramount Pictures has announced a CG/live-action hybrid feature that replaces The Last Ronin, with a 2028 release.

Together, these projects indicate that the heroes in a half shell will continue to dominate theaters for the next several years.
