Our Favorite Restaurants at Disney’s Moderate Resorts

Trails End

We love staying at the various moderate resorts across Disney property — these resorts are a wonderful balance of theme and amenities.  Regardless of whether you are staying at a particular resort, it is always worthwhile checking out the resorts and take advantage of the dining options, entertainment, and lounges available to guests.  Here are some restaurants to check out at the moderate resorts on your next trip to Disney World!

Trail’s End (Fort Wilderness)

A true hidden gem, this restaurant sits on the shores of Bay Lake and invites guests for meals throughout the day.  Meals served here are all-you-care-to-enjoy, so you are the chef to whatever culinary masterpiece awaits you!  At breakfast, guests will find traditional fare, along with savory biscuits and gravy, as well as the dessert bar.  Lunch and dinner features smoked ribs, fried chicken, peel and eat shrimp, along with chili, pizza, and a delicious selection of desserts like red velvet cake, a sundae bar, and house-made fruit cobbler – come with an appetite, as well as some extra time to walk around the campgrounds and enjoy the sights!

Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory (Port Orleans French Quarter)

Sassagoula

Not a table service restaurant, but this food court offers guests AMAZING choices for all three meals.  Unique flavors abound at breakfast, but the crowd pleaser are the Mickey-shaped beignets.  In addition to traditional favorites at lunch, guests can grab a cup of gumbo, a creole cheese steak po boy, as well as bayou lasagna, and a bevy of sweet desserts.  At dinner, guests can creat their own rice bowl, enjoy a delicious pizza, or choose among classic entrees with all of the fixins!

Sebastian’s Bistro (Caribbean Beach)

Guests can dine here for dinner and getting to the resort is much easier now the Skyliner has started service.  The cuisine at Sebastian’s features Latin-inspired dishes.  For appetizers, guests will find glazed jerk wings, crab cakes, savory pull-apart rolls, Cuban black bean soup, as well as beef empanadas.  As an entrée, guests will find it hard to choose amongst coconut shrimp and grits, jerk chicken, grilled skirt steak, or a Caribbean vegetable curry.  You can every add cold water lobster tail to any entrée for an additional fee.  Regardless of what you chose from for dinner, be sure to save some room for dessert — savory key lime pie, mango-passion fruit panna cotta, warm chocolate pudding, and an assortment of Caribbean fruit sorbets await you at the end of your meal!
