Our Top Tips For Visiting Walt Disney World Resort

5. Plan a resort day

The hotels at Walt Disney World Resort are incredible. From their lush landscapes, stellar customer service and picturesque decor, your hotel really becomes a home away from home. So many people, though, only take advantage of their hotel after the theme parks are closed and they turn in for bed. If you want to make the most out of your Disney World vacation, be sure to plan a day where you’re just relaxing at the resort. Regardless of your chosen resort, there are endless things to do, whether it’s a whirlpool, spa, exercise room, games, swimming pool or watching movies under the stars. There’s something for every age group. It’s also one of the best ways to recharge your battery during an otherwise exhausting vacation.

6. Stay on Disney property

Another added bonus about staying on Disney property are the amenities offered. If you’re like me, the last thing you want to do on vacation is drive, search for parking and of course - pay more money than you need to. With the Disney World hotels no longer offering free parking for their guests, opting to stay on property becomes an even better option. When you stay on property, Disney’s Magical Express can pick you up from the airport, and if your flight lands early enough, take care of your luggage transfer from the minute you arrive in Florida. This service is offered at the end of your vacation, too. Perhaps, though, the best perk about staying on property is that you are given complimentary transportation to all the parks in Disney World, plus Disney Springs. These motorcoaches run approximately every twenty minutes, too, so you don’t have the inconvenience of waiting a long time to get to and from your destination.

7. Just have fun

When you’re tired, hot, hungry and dealing with thousands of people around you at all times, it can be easy to forget about the magic of Disney. This is especially true if your favorite ride is broken, closed down for refurbishments or construction is happening at your hotel. The best tip that can be offered about experiencing a magical Disney World vacation is to go with the flow and adapt to the situation. While it may be upsetting that the new Slinky Dog Dash in Toy Story Land at Hollywood Studios has a 300-minute wait, realize that there is still so much that each park has to offer. While something may have a long line now or be broken, know that it won’t be next time you visit. Whatever you do, don’t lose sight of the magic.
