Recently, characters like Minnie Mouse, Pluto, and Chip & Dale went viral for twerking online, and it appears Disney will take action.
The Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort are known for being some of the best places in the world to enjoy Disney vacations. They are hotspots for family-friendly fun and allow guests from all over the world to enjoy their time off with their families. However, sometimes, things that are not quite what Disney would consider appropriate for children and families do happen at the Disney Parks.

A big responsibility of maintaining the Disney magic rests with Disney cast members. Cast members are the heart and soul of the Disney experience, and they work hard to ensure that families from all around the world enjoy their time at a Disney theme park.
However, being a Disney cast member is no easy task; they require rigorous training and have strict rules to follow. Recently, some cast members have been seen going against these strict rules by twerking for the camera while in costume. Another controversial clip shows a life-size Pinocchio doll placed in position so as to simulate a sex act on a Captain Hook replica.
These videos have been uploaded online, though it’s unclear if the source of the videos are cast members themselves or others. The videos were shared by a TikTok account called Illegal Disney.
Now, as reported by the NY Post, it appears Disney has found out about these videos and is “outraged.” The outlet reported, “Outraged Disney bosses have reportedly launched an investigation after amorous employees at their Anaheim, Calif. amusement park were caught on camera twerking while dressed up as the company’s family-friendly cartoon characters.”
“It looks silly, but, for Disney, protecting the integrity of those characters is absolutely paramount,” an insider shared with The Sun about the videos. “They’ve asked top investigators to shut down the feed and try to identify those responsible, who are in breach of their employment contracts.”
“They’re one of the most protective companies in the world because they know their biggest customers are young children who don’t want the illusion shattered,” the source continued.
“Some of the clips show the characters dancing and twerking in their outfits—it’s just not on-message.”
Disney’s rules are well-known, and these videos could well endanger the jobs of the cast members who were clearly having fun backstage.
