Plus-Size Model Sparks Heated Debate with Polarizing Disney World Video

Walt Disney World is widely regarded as the “Most Magical Place on Earth,” a destination where families and friends come together to enjoy thrilling rides, delicious snacks, and unforgettable memories. Whether it’s the charm of classic attractions or the magic of meeting beloved characters, Disney has always prided itself on inclusivity and creating a space for everyone.

However, one guest, plus-size model Gracie Bon, recently shared a very different experience during her visit, sparking a debate over body image and treatment in public spaces.

Three animatronic pirates, reminiscent of Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean, peer out from a stone jail cell. One dangles a key tied to a rope to entice a dog holding keys in its mouth. The dimly lit scene glows under an old lantern's light, capturing a moment of playful mischief.

Gracie Bon, a Panamanian influencer with over 10 million followers on Instagram, has never been one to shy away from discussing her body and her journey. Known for her curvaceous figure — distinctively defined by a smaller waist and larger hips and backside — she has been both praised for embracing her shape and criticized for it.

However, her most recent post has garnered considerable attention after she spoke about the unwelcoming reactions she encountered while at Disney World.

In a video shared with her followers, Gracie described her disappointment at how many Disney guests stared at her during her visit to the theme park. She recounted the experience of walking through the crowds only to be met with judging glances and facial expressions from fellow park-goers.

Gracie expressed her shock and frustration, calling out the audacity of people who felt entitled to stare at her simply because of her body.

I can’t just magically wish myself skinny,” she said in the video. “I just want to be treated like everyone else. Why does my body have to be a spectacle?

For many of her supporters, Gracie’s words resonated deeply, sparking conversations about body positivity and the social pressure that individuals — especially women — often face regarding their appearance. However, not all of her followers agreed with her take.

Some critics argued that by choosing to modify her body in such a public way, Gracie was, in essence, inviting attention and therefore couldn’t complain when it came her way.

Despite her repeated statements that her body transformation was achieved naturally without surgery, her distinctive physique continues to invite mixed reactions.

This is not the first time Gracie has found herself in the midst of public scrutiny during a trip to a Disney park. Last year, she faced similar issues during her visit to Disneyland Paris, where she again complained of being the subject of unwelcome stares.

These incidents highlight an ongoing issue that many plus-size individuals encounter in public spaces, where they are often treated as outliers or spectacles instead of being embraced for who they are.

What’s more, Gracie’s video brings to light a larger societal issue — how we view and treat others based on their appearance. While some of her critics feel that her transformation is simply an effort to stand out, others wonder whether her experience at Disney World is just one example of a broader cultural problem.

Gracie isn’t a stranger to controversy, and her story continues to provoke both support and criticism. In fact, she recently went viral for another video in which she spoke out against airline seating, claiming that the seats were too small for her.

She shared her frustrations with airlines and demanded that they make accommodations for plus-size flyers. Once again, her video sparked divisive reactions, with some agreeing with her and others accusing her of overreacting.

It’s clear that Gracie’s voice and experience are part of a larger conversation about body image, public spaces, and how we treat one another. As more and more people advocate for inclusivity and body positivity, there’s hope that a shift will occur in how society views and embraces individuals of all shapes and sizes.

How do you feel about Gracie’s experience? Is her body really the issue, or does it reflect a broader societal problem? Share your thoughts in the comments!

  1. She is getting stared at because she has a self inflicted enhanced shape it must be something she expected . People aren’t staring because she has a disability. If a green faced alien 👽was walking about people would stare. She shouldn’t be so sensitive.

I am obese got all the rides and nobody stated at me .
