When two long-overdue character experiences return to The Walt Disney World Resort, they will also be immediately available as Lightning Lane options on Disney Genie+.

Disney Fanatic just reported that starting January 22, Magic Kingdom Park Guests will once again be able to Meet Ariel at Her Grotto and then experience Enchanted Tales with Belle starting on February 19. But it appears Disney Parks will also add them to the list of attractions available with Disney Genie+’s Lightning Lane access.

For anywhere between $15 – $25+ per person per day, Disney Genie+ offers Lightning Lane Access to several of the most popular attractions and rides at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is essentially a paid replacement to the complimentary pre-pandemic FastPass+ System, with the latest and most popular rides only being available via an extra-cost individual Lightning Lane pass. It is interesting that these highly-popular character experiences were not automatically added to the Individual Lightning Lane list.

Luckily, Ariel’s Grotto and Enchanted Tales with Belle will still have a standby line, so families do not have to pay extra to interact with their favorite Disney Princesses again. But is it worth the money to choose the Lightning Lane?

Disney World describes Ariel’s Grotto as the following:

Be Part of Her World

Venture into a seaside grotto, where you’ll find Ariel among her treasures. She has gadgets and gizmos aplenty, and she’s always happy to make new friends—especially human ones.

She wants to be where the people are, so stop by and make her dream come true!

About Ariel

The Little Mermaid Ariel is a princess of the sea. She collects human treasures and longs to be part of our world.
Disney World describes Enchanted Tales with Belle as the following:

A Tale as Old as Time

Step into Belle and Maurice’s quaint country cottage and marvel at the charming decor. Next, tour Maurice’s workshop, where you’ll see his inventive gadgets—and a special enchanted mirror the Beast gave to Belle. Say the magic words and the mirror comes to life!

Watch the story of how Belle and the Beast met, and then behold the walls disappear before your eyes as you are magically transported to the Beast’s castle.

Meet the Enchanted Wardrobe, who will help selected participants prepare for their role. Which of you will play the Beast? Guests of all ages may volunteer!
