Guests heading to Disneyland Paris Resort between now and mid-June will find the Frontierland Theater dark. The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands is on a scheduled break and won't return until at least June 13.
Six Weeks Without Simba

A while back, Disneyland Paris Resort announced that The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands would close from May 4 through June 12, with a scheduled reopening on June 13, 2026. As of May 5, the Frontierland Theater is closed, and the surrounding area is quiet.

Disneyland Paris Resort has described the closure as a “scheduled break” without elaborating on any plans for the show or its venue. No major changes are expected; Disneyland Park guests returning in June will likely find the theatrical experience much the same as before.
About the Lion King (1994) Show

The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands has been an institution at Disneyland Park since it opened in 2019. The 30-minute live performance draws from the music and story of the 1994 Walt Disney Animation Studios classic, featuring dancers, acrobats, and singers in elaborate costumes inspired by both the film and its subsequent stage adaptations. The set list includes “Circle of Life,” “I Just Can't Wait to Be King,” “Be Prepared,” “Hakuna Matata,” and “Can You Feel the Love Tonight.”
Where Else To Find the Pride Lands

For fans who can't wait until June for a dose of the Pride Lands, other options exist around the Disney world. Festival of the Lion King runs at both Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park at Walt Disney World Resort and Hong Kong Disneyland, and Disney on Broadway's production of “The Lion King” continues in New York City and on tour.
