FREE BEER! Disney Rival Has Unique Giveaway for Guests

It’s that time of year again. The entire country finds itself in the depths of a deep freeze, and everyone is thinking about their next vacation to Florida. But even Florida is experiencing lower-than-average temperatures this week, so warm vacations may have to wait a few weeks.

But it’s also that time of year when you get those holiday credit card bills. The Christmas rush is over, and the bills remind you how much you spent over the holiday season.

The cold weather and the credit card bills hit the Central Florida theme parks around this time, too. With the holiday rush over, everyone is looking for creative ways to get people through the turnstiles.

The Walt Disney World Resort currently offers 20 percent off the regular room rate at most hotels. Disney World also has offers for 30 percent off room rates for Annual Passholders and an offer for a free Disney Dining Plan. But those offers don’t start until later in the year.

But one of Disney World’s chief rivals in Central Florida has found an exciting way to lure guests into the park: FREE BEER!

You heard that right: SeaWorld Orlando is offering all guests over 21 a free beer when they enter the theme park for the remainder of January. Upon entering SeaWorld Orlando, guests will receive a voucher for one free seven-ounce beer from 11 a.m. until an hour before the theme park closes.

Guests can only use the voucher at the Waterway Grill Bar, which is located near the Infinity Falls attraction.

Will Disney World Follow?

Despite the hopes and dreams of Disney Day Drinkers everywhere, it is doubtful that Walt Disney World would ever follow SeaWorld’s lead on this. Despite Walt Disney’s prohibition on alcohol in any Disney Park, alcohol is now available in every park and hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Springs.

Disney fans will have to settle for discounts on hotel rooms and the Disney Dining plan, while SeaWorld fans will get to enjoy their favorite adult beverage as they tour the park.

SeaWorld Orlando is also introducing its newest attraction, the Penguin Trek. Guests enter a snowmobile style car and head on a track that will take them through penguin habitats, indoor and outdoor. The rides ends at the penguin area with the real deal. That attraction will open just in time for spring breakers headed to Central Florida.

So, while you won’t get a free drink from Disney World or when you’re riding through penguin habitats, you can get one right now if you head to SeaWorld Orlando.
