While taking a trip to Disneyland Resort is typically thought of as a group activity for family and friends, there are plenty of people who like to experience the magic by themselves. When you go to Disneyland solo, you get to do what you want, when you want, eat when you want, and go on whatever rides you want without having to worry about everyone else. Heck, you can go to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure, park yourself on a bench, people-watch, and stay until the fireworks. The world is your oyster! Solo Disney trips are quickly growing in popularity as people realize they love being able to experience Disney their way.
One of the great things about going to Disneyland by yourself is that you can take advantage of the single-rider lines. While not every attraction has them, there’s enough to fill your day with exciting rides. And now, one of Disneyland’s most popular rides is finally reopening its single-rider line.
According to theme park reporter Scott Gustin, Space Mountain once again is utilizing a single-rider queue.

Space Mountain’s single-rider queue has been closed since Disneyland reopened after its COVID closure. For two years, fans have eagerly been awaiting its return, unsure of why it took so long in the first place.
One person commented on Gustin’s post and asked why the single-rider line had been closed for so long. Four people answered and gave four different responses. One person said that the single-rider line was the same one used by wheelchair people, and it got too crowded. Someone else said that Disney was being greedy by keeping it closed, hoping to force people into using Disney Genie+. Another person simply said, “Genie+”.
Right now, it seems that the single-rider queue is only in the “testing” phase. So, we can’t guarantee that it will be open all day, every day. Disney has not said if and when Space Mountain’s single-rider queue will return permanently.
If you are visiting Disneyland Park solo, you can find single-rider lines at Splash Mountain, the Matterhorn, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run, Indiana Jones Adventure, and Star Tours. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, there are single-rider lines at Radiator Springs Racers, Goofy’s Sky School, Grizzly River Run, and Incredicoaster.
