Calling all Disney foodies! If you’re anything like us, Disney food and beverages are all a key part of a fantastic Disney vacation. Well, we’re pushing aside the beloved DOLE Whip, as Disney is rolling out some new drool-worthy items that we simply can’t pass up.
A new first look video has taken us inside Walt Disney World Resort’s newest hotel experience called Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser. The Resort combines the Disney Cruise, Disney Resort, and Disney entertainment experiences into one 2-night storytelling, immersive bubble. The unique experience is unlike anything Disney has ever done before, so of course, the food and beverages are going to be paramount!
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are held on the Starcruiser’s Crown of Corellia Dining Room which transforms for each meal with a special musical appearance by a galactic superstar during dinner. Guests onboard the Starcruiser can also enjoy the Sublight Lounge.
Disney recently shared that dining onboard the Halcyon starcruiser engages all five of your senses for the fully immersive Star Wars experience.

First up – TASTE! Because, of course, that’s the most important part when it comes to enjoying a dining experience. Disney has said, “The chefs on the Halcyon starcruiser come from the far corners of the galaxy and bring their own special dishes to the fore. Whether it’s the Bantha Beef, Tip Yip Chicken, or the Seared Kashyyyk Whitefish from Chewbacca’s homeworld, this is an intergalactic tour de force of familiar tastes with new and unexpected textures.”
How appealing does the food look? Well, Disney knows SIGHT plays a major role in the experience. Disney notes, “The Crown of Corellia Dining Room onboard the starcruiser is a feast for the eyes. Here you dine beneath three large circular, multi-layered chandeliers complemented by a dazzling lighting display throughout the supper club. The lights go full-on concert mode when Gaya, the galactic superstar from the planet Ryloth, performs her biggest hits during the first night’s dinner. Then the next night the lighting changes colors to evoke the aesthetics of each course during a “Taste Around the Galaxy.”
Get ready to relax and listen as SOUND fills the dining space with the very talented performer known as “Gaya”. Disney says, “The Twi’lek singer glides effortlessly past the tables as her powerful voice fills every nook and cranny of the room. If you listen closely, though, you may learn more about the galaxy – and why Gaya is on this ship to begin with.”
Our stomachs are rumbling! What’s more enticing than the look of a delicious bite? Well, of course, SMELL comes into play on Disney’s Starcruiser. Disney notes, “Every meal brings its own tantalizing aroma that will have your mouth watering before you take the first bite.”
Take a look at THAT! This drool-worthy concoction can be found at the Sublight Lounge and is where TOUCH comes into play. Disney says that the Sublight Lounge offers “three options off the creative cocktail options like the Hoth Ice Breaker pictured here. These drinks hit on multiple senses with exotic flavors and photo-worthy looks. But one thing that really sets them apart is the glassware, which just feels cool to hold. It’s a small detail, but so important when creating an immersive experience that makes you feel like you’ve traveled to another galaxy.” We LOVE that Disney even thought of the way the glassware FEELS.
