The Madrigals are coming to Walt Disney World Resort—and Mirabel herself is leading the way.

Stephanie Beatriz, who voiced Mirabel in Disney’s Encanto, recently confirmed that she will reprise the role for the upcoming theme park attraction based on the film. Speaking with The Direct while promoting Twisted Metal Season 2, the actress shared her excitement about returning to Casa Madrigal.
“I will say I'm very excited to do some of the voice recordings for the ride that will be going into Walt Disney World,” said Beatriz. “I believe they announced that it's going to be ready in 2027. I cannot believe it's happening.”
The Encanto-inspired attraction is currently under construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, part of a new land known as Tropical Americas, which will also include an Indiana Jones-themed experience. The ride, based on Antonio Madrigal’s room, will replace DinoLand U.S.A. and take guests into the magical world of the family’s enchanted home.

Disney has hinted that the ride may feature trackless technology and showcase the film’s vivid Latin American inspirations. Construction has begun and land clearing, staging, and cranes are now active as of mid-2025. The attraction is scheduled to open in 2027.
“I remember being at Disneyland Paris and riding the Ratatouille ride,” Beatriz added. “I bet Patton Oswalt was so keyed up when he got to do the voice for this. I can't even imagine what that's like… And now here we are. I’m gonna get to do that. So I'm really, really thrilled.”
Beatriz joins a list of actors returning to voice characters for Disney Parks attractions, much like the cast of The Princess and the Frog did for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Released in 2021, Encanto introduced audiences to the Madrigal family, a multigenerational group living in the Colombian mountains in a magical house, each with a special gift, except Mirabel. When the magic begins to fade, it’s Mirabel who steps up to protect their miracle. The film, directed by Byron Howard, Jared Bush, and Charise Castro Smith, features songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, including the popular “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”
Encanto had a modest box office run, earning $96.1 million domestically and $256.5 million globally. It wasn’t until its debut on Disney+ on December 24, 2021, that the film truly gained momentum. In its first week, it amassed over 2.2 billion streaming minutes, became a TikTok favorite, and saw its soundtrack soar on the charts.
The film went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and was widely recognized for its animation, cultural representation, and themes of identity and family.

The film’s success prompted former Disney CEO Bob Chapek to describe Encanto as a new franchise for the studio. While no sequel has been announced yet, Disney has Zootopia 2 and Toy Story 5 in development, suggesting that the Madrigal family’s return to the screen is likely on the horizon.
With the new attraction taking shape and voice talent back on board, Encanto is poised to become a permanent part of the Disney theme parks experience, one miracle at a time.
