The 10 Things You May Be Missing in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland

Tomorrowland

All the way to the right of the Hub in the Magic Kingdom, guests will find Tomorrowland. Tomorrowland is a celebration of the possibility of the future, as well as a journey into the outer realms of the universe. Guests may head to Tomorrowland for a quick ride on Space Mountain, but miss out on a lot else that Tomorrowland has to offer!

10 – Tomorrowland Dance Party – located at the back of Tomorrowland between Space Mountain and the restrooms is the old Skyway Station that has been converted into a stage that is used for many purposes, but the most constant use is for a Tomorrowland Dance Party. Throughout the day, DJs will play popular dance music where you and your family can bust a move with the Incredibles. This is something that you may miss if you are moving quickly through the land.

9 – Carousel of Progress – this attraction is an import from the work that Walt Disney did for the World’s Fair in 1964. It features the evolution of technology in the American home beginning at the turn of the twentieth century and concludes with a “look ahead” to what an American home may look like in 1986. While some are calling for an extensive refurb or worse, Disney purists enjoy the original scenes. Regardless of your position, this is definitely an attraction you’ll want to try!

8 – Epcot Model on the TTA – Before the TTA takes you into Mickey’s Star Traders, guests can view a scale model of the Walt Disney’s original design for EPCOT. You can see the city center and can see the peoplemovers and the monorails shuttling residents from the outer rims of the city into its interior. It definitely will give you a better sense for what Walt had in mind when he first announced EPCOT as part of his Florida Project.

7 – Astro Orbiter – located atop Rockettower Plaza, Astro Orbiter takes guests on a fantastic aerial journey. Guests can control the elevation of the rockets, but if you are able to stomach the highest elevation on the rockets, you’ll be able to see the whole of Tomorrowland, as well as catch some magnificent views of Cinderella’s Castle and a bit of Fantasyland. It is definitely a ride worth checking out once!

6 – Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor – when my wife’s family first introduced me to this attraction, I was hesitant. It didn’t seem like it would be something that I would enjoy, but after my first viewing, we rarely miss this attraction on a trip to the Magic Kingdom. Guests become part of this comedy show through similar technology that is used at Turtle Talk with Crush. We also enjoy the ability to sit down and relax for a show and also enjoy the copious amount of air conditioning!

5 – The Lunching Pad – located at the bottom of Rockettower Plaza, the Lunching Pad offers a variety of great quick-service items for guests to grab on the go. They offer a variety of pretzels to satisfy your hunger, as well as some inventive hot dog choices! Be sure to check it out after your next ride on the TTA!

4 – Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies – if you have more of a sweet tooth, you’ll want to head to Auntie Gravity’s, located by Mickey’s Star Traders. Guests have their choice of a variety of different ice creams, sundaes, and floats – all are sure to cool you down on a hot afternoon at the Magic Kingdom!

3 – Space Mountain Gift Shop – the gift shop at the end of the moving walkway at Space Mountain is somewhere you’ll want to check out. Guests can find Space Mountain themed merchandise, as well as BandIts for your MagicBand. The newest addition to this gift shop is the ability to create your own on-demand MagicBands and cell phone cases. It is definitely fun to see all the different creations that you can come up with!

2 – Secret Passage to Storybook Circus – at the exit of Space Mountain, turn right as opposed to turning left of going straight. Guests are able to take a meandering path from Tomorrowland to Storybook Circus. You’ll be able to see the cars whiz by from the Tomorrowland Speedway, as well as possibly see the Walt Disney World Railroad run by, as well!

1 – Views from the TTA – I love riding the TTA and catching the view of the Hub and Cinderella’s Castle. Guests are also treated to other wonderful views of all of Tomorrowland, but the two times that you are facing the Hub offer the best views. If you are able to plan your ride on the TTA well enough, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse of the parade or the fireworks!

Tomorrowland offers a lot for guests to see and do. Take your time the next time you are visiting to explore all that Tomorrowland has to offer. What is your favorite thing in Tomorrowland?
