5. Trail’s End (Fort Wilderness)
This restaurant definitely falls into the category of a hidden gem! Since it is located at the back of Fort Wilderness, it isn’t the easiest restaurant to get to, but if you make the trip, you will be rewarded handsomely! The food is served up buffet-style and features classic homestyle selections – on a recent trip, we ate dinner here and dined on fried chicken, breaded fish, mac and cheese, baked beans, pizza, as well as barbecued chicken and ribs! The dessert menu is varied as well, so you’ll definitely want to save some room for that. We also love the moonshine cocktails available from Crockett’s Tavern attached to the restaurant!
