Lucasfilm has recast several characters for a new Mandalorian special, including one originally played by acclaimed actor Werner Herzog.
Herzog portrayed the mysterious Client in the first season of The Mandalorian, but Flula Borg now provides the character's voice in the new animated special LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian. The Client is one of several characters to receive a new voice as the Star Wars franchise revisits the Disney+ series in LEGO form. Watch the trailer below:

Other recastings include Din Djarin, with Gavin Hammon replacing Pedro Pascal, and Luke Skywalker, with Eric Bauza taking over from Mark Hamill. Carl Lumbly also takes over the role of Greef Karga, who was originally played by the late Carl Weathers.
Meanwhile, several original cast members have returned, including Katee Sackhoff as Bo-Katan Kryze, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand, Amy Sedaris as Peli Motto, Bill Burr as Migs Mayfield, Nick Nolte as Kuiil, Rosario Dawson as Ahsoka Tano, Taika Waititi as IG-11, Temuera Morrison as Boba Fett, Emily Swallow as the Armorer, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Carson Teva, and Timothy Olyphant as Cobb Vanth.
LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian doesn't continue Din Djarin and Grogu's story, though. Instead, the animated special retells events from all three seasons of The Mandalorian in the distinctive LEGO Star Wars style.
According to StarWars.com, “this new animated galactic adventure celebrates your favorite stories and characters from all three seasons of The Mandalorian series, making it perfect for Star Wars and LEGO fans of all ages.”
Unlike many of the characters featured in the special, however, Cara Dune has not been recast. The character, originally played by Gina Carano, has been fully removed from the special.
LEGO Star Wars: The Mandalorian is now streaming on Disney+.
The Mandalorian & Grogu is also now streaming on Disney+.
