7. Dance Parties

A popular addition to any theme park, Disney has added a special anniversary dance party on Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “The Lion King.”  Kids and adults alike can enjoy interacting with some of their favorite characters from the movie.  Timon and Pumba host this fun event!

8. IllumiNations Farewell

No end date has been announced yet, but by the fall of 2019, IllumiNations is going to be retired and a temporary show will be introduced before a permanent addition can be added before the 50thanniversary of the park in 2021.  If you are a fan of the nighttime spectacular, you need to plan one last trip to be able to say goodbye to the show!  Regardless of where you like to watch this show from, you won’t want to miss out on saying goodbye!
 
Disney is pulling out all of the stops in gearing up for the 50th anniversary in 2021. With some many exciting additions coming in 2019 on top of what is already there, we can wait to visit (and see what is coming next year)!  What are you most excited to experience at Disney in 2019?
