The Top 5 Holiday Experiences to Have at Walt Disney World

3. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

A separate, hard-ticket event, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a quintessential Disney experience.  Guests are granted access to the Magic Kingdom at 4 PM and the party goes until 1 AM.  While at the party, guests can grab specialty cookies and cocoa at a variety of snack stands throughout the parks.  In addition, guests are able to ride their favorite attractions with shorter lines, as well as meet and greet with a variety of characters not generally seen in the parks.  Our favorite part of the party is the special holiday parade, Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.  You’ll definitely want to snag a good viewing location for one of these two parades.  The night is topped off with a showing of Holiday Wishes!, a holiday-themed version of the popular fireworks show.  The party is definitely worth experiencing once – just try and go during the week – ticket prices are cheaper and the party is less likely to be sold out or very crowded.
