This Weekend Is Your Final Opportunity to Experience This Beloved Disney Event

EPCOT's Festival of the Arts ends Monday, February 23, which means Disney fans have just the weekend left to experience what many consider their absolute favorite EPCOT festival, even though it's the shortest one on the entire annual calendar at only 39 days. If you can get to EPCOT this weekend, you need to go right now. After Monday, all of this disappears until 2027, and you're going to kick yourself if you miss it.

The festival started January 16 and has been running for over a month, but the 39-day timeframe makes it EPCOT's shortest seasonal celebration, which honestly is part of why fans love it so much. Everything feels urgent and special instead of dragging on for months, as the Food and Wine Festival does. You can't procrastinate with the Festival of the Arts because before you know it, it's over.

The Disney on Broadway Finale Is Stacked

The absolute biggest reason to visit this closing weekend is the Disney on Broadway Concert Series finale happening at American Garden Theatre on February 22 and 23. The lineup is genuinely insane, with Ashley Brown from Mary Poppins, Ainsley Melham from Aladdin, Susan Egan from Beauty and the Beast, James Monroe Iglehart from Aladdin, and Kyra Belle Johnson from the Beauty and the Beast North American tour all performing together for literally just two days.

James Monroe Iglehart won a Tony Award for playing Genie in Aladdin on Broadway. Susan Egan originated the role of Belle in the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast. Ashley Brown originated the role of Mary Poppins on Broadway and has been teasing upcoming Disney theatrical projects during her festival appearances. Getting all of them on one stage for a final weekend celebration is the kind of special moment you plan entire trips around.

The concerts happen several times daily, and admission is included with your park ticket, but seating is first-come, first-served, so get there early if you want decent spots. This is the final weekend, so expect way bigger crowds and way longer waits than typical festival days.

Interactive Stuff Ending Forever (Until 2027)

This weekend is your last chance to join the Expression Section paint-by-numbers mural, a popular interactive experience where you can add to a massive collaborative artwork that's been evolving throughout the festival. By now, the mural is nearly complete, so you'll be adding final touches.

Also ending this weekend is the Animation Academy, where you can learn drawing techniques from Disney artists and create character sketches to take home. This hands-on experience is great for both kids and adults, providing valuable artistic skills in a rewarding format.

Disney Lorcana Collectors Running Out of Time

For Disney Lorcana fans, this weekend is your last chance to enjoy the Collection Quest and Ink & Find activities at the festival. Collection Quest allows you to open booster packs and trade cards at the Illumineer's Lounge in the Morocco Pavilion. Completing it rewards you with exclusive cards, including the Donald Duck Pie Slinger Magical Places card.

Ink & Find involves searching for larger-than-life trading cards around EPCOT, matching them to stickers in your Festival Questbook to earn a limited-edition Rapunzel Appreciative Artist card, available only while supplies last.

Additionally, Figment's Brush with the Masters Scavenger Hunt has Figment hidden in famous artworks around World Showcase. Purchase maps and stickers at select shops, and finding Figment-themed frames will get you a special keepsake from the festival.

Food Studios Close Sunday

The 2026 Festival of the Arts has over 20 Food Studios throughout the park, and every single one of them closes after this weekend. These aren't just random food booths serving standard festival fare. The Food Studios create dishes designed to be as visually stunning as they are delicious, treating plates like canvases and ingredients like artistic media.

This weekend is your last chance to try specialty items that won't be available again until next year's festival, and Festival of the Arts food tends to be exclusive to this specific celebration rather than showing up in modified forms at other events. If you missed something earlier in the festival run, this is literally your final opportunity.

Disney Festival Merchandise Disappearing

Festival merchandise featuring Figment is available through the weekend, but popular items may sell out. The collection includes a Spirit Jersey, a Loungefly ear headband with a purple bow, a blue baseball cap, a Figment plush in an artist's outfit, a versatile Loungefly bag, a Corkcicle water bottle, a festival mug, and a Figment ornament. This weekend is your last chance to grab these items before they disappear from stores.

Go To Disney This Weekend If You Can

If you have any ability whatsoever to get to EPCOT this weekend, seriously consider making it happen. The 39-day festival run makes this the shortest EPCOT celebration of the entire year, and after Sunday February 23 literally everything disappears until the festival returns in 2027. The food offerings, interactive experiences, Broadway performances, and artistic displays all vanish. You have 48 hours left. Use them wisely.
