2. Go Behind the Scenes
Like all of the Disney Parks, Animal Kingdom has some amazing tours that take you behind the scenes of this unique place. Backstage Tales brings you to Animal Kingdom early in the morning before the Park opens to the public to see how the cast cares for the many diverse animal species that live there. You’ll see the animal nutrition center, the vet hospital, and learn about how Disney cares for wildlife around the world. Caring for Giants focuses on Animal Kingdom’s largest inhabitants, the elephants. You’ll meet elephant keepers and learn about what it takes to take care of these amazing creatures. If you love the Kilimanjaro Safaris experience and wish you could spend more time in the Harambe Reserve, you’ll want to book Wild Africa Trek. You’ll spend three hour with an expert guide in the African savannas of Animal Kingdom. Looking for something with a little refreshment? Savor the Savanna: Evening Safari Experience takes you on a private safari in the savanna and a chance to sample African tapas and regional beers and wines. All of these experiences have extra cost above Animal Kingdom admission and require reservations.
