Hardcore shoppers will be in heaven at Walt Disney World. With thousands of items available in Disney shops around the resorts, parks and Disney Springs you may have a difficult time choosing where to start your shopping expedition. This shopping guide notes some of the top trending souvenirs at Walt Disney World Resort.
1. Ear Hats
Mickey ear hats have come a long way since the black and pink Mickey and Minnie hats of the early park days. Today you will see walls full of different ear hat styles. Hats themed from favorite princesses and movie characters like villains, Toy Story characters, Star Wars and more line the shelves in Disney shops. Custom embroidered hats are available at Mouse Gear in Epcot, The Chapeu in the Magic Kingdom and Celebrity 5&10 in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Dole Whip themed hats are the newest and cutest hat option I snagged on my last Disney vacation!
2. Headbands
If hats are not your thing you are in luck, because there are just as many Minnie ear headband options available. Consistent sellers are rose gold ears and purple sequined ears but there are sparkly sets of ears in so many colors! Holiday ears, Pride Ears, princess ears and even adorable Mickey Premium Bar ears are available for purchase. My favorite pair are the vintage ride themed “it’s a small world” ears.
3. Disney Food Themed Items
Park food themed souvenirs are all the rage in the parks. Turkey leg t-shirts, churro pencil pouches, Mickey waffle dog squeaky toys and Mickey pretzel key chains are just a few of the food themed items you can purchase. Adorable rain coats printed with Mickey Premium Bars, Mickey pretzels and of course the iconic Dole Whip are perfect to beat the Florida rain showers.
Disney food themed merchandise is the perfect way to remember your Disney vacation and favorite snacks in the parks.
4. Vintage Disney Merch.
Disney is throwing it back with lots of vintage park merchandise. Think original ride posters for Dumbo the Flying Elephant, “it’s a small world”, Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room and so much more. Vintage tees are super soft and comfy and offer a different look from an average theme park t-shirt. Throwback ride themed purses are an edgy way to accent your outfit. Enchanted Tiki Room throwback umbrellas and raincoats will keep you dry on dreary days in the park or at home. Fleece ride poster throws are a cute way to accent your home and add a little Disney magic to your living room!
5. All Things 90s
If you are looking for 90s items you are in luck. In 2018 Disney introduced a 90s merchandise line that features Disney favorites of the decade like Hercules, Pocahontas, Aladdin and Lion King. Mugs, hats, shoes, t-shirts, swimwear and home goods that sport the neon color splashes, fun graphic prints and funky style of the 90s with scenes from 90s Disney films are hard to pass up.
6. Mugs
You can never have too many coffee mugs, right? After all, a perfect Disney mug (or a few) inspire some serious reminiscing about your Disney vacation memories. Princess mugs, mugs with movie quotes and park themed mugs are really popular with guests and are functional and fun souvenirs.
7. Alex & Ani Bracelets
Alex & Ani bracelets have been on the shelves in parks for a few years but new designs are released all the time. These delicate bangles are well crafted and cost around fifty dollars each with some variation in price among the styles. Each bracelet features a charm that is character, park or movie themed. I love that these pieces add a bit of Disney magic to an outfit in an understated way.
8. Dapper Disney and Jewelry
Dapper Day at Disney is incredibly popular so of course Dapper Disney merchandise is hot too. Drop by Main Street, U.S.A. for vintage Disney themed 1950s style dresses with beautiful full skirts, fluffy petticoats, parasols and matching bags. Upscale jewelry is increasingly popular with park guests. Snag a Disney themed Pandora slide for your Pandora Bracelet or buy a Swarovski Crystal studded Mickey necklace. Shops at Disney Springs, Uptown Jewelers or Disney Clothiers in the Magic Kingdom are good options for those looking to purchase jewelry.
9. Disney Dooney & Bourke
Dooney & Bourke offer different bag styles featuring adorable Disney prints exclusively for Disney Parks. Available for purchase at Disney Springs or at Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom, these bags are worth the splurge. Dooney & Bourke creates new bag prints with the release of Disney films and park themed bags. Bag prints are available for a limited time which makes them even more collectible. Toy Story and Dumbo prints are big for 2019 with prints like Disney cats, Magic Kingdom rides and Mickey ear hat printed bag styles also filling the shelves at shops in the parks and at Disney Springs.

10. Anything Star Wars!
Some of the hottest merchandise at Walt Disney World are any items you can get in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. There are several places to shop inside of the exciting space port of Batuu including Droid Depot and Savi’s Worshop where you can build your own light saber. There are also stalls in the marketplace where visitors may buy little creatures, toys and Star Wars branded clothing. But, one of the biggest fan-favorite take-aways from this exciting new park addition are the unique drink containers for Coke, Sprite and Diet Coke like the one pictured above. Leave it to Disney to make even benign items like pop containers cool!
Shopping is one of the highlights of a visit to Disney and there is no shortage of items available for purchase. We hope you’ve gotten some good ideas for souvenirs available at Disney which will help you take some of the magic of your trip home with you to enjoy year-round! Happy shopping!
