Walt Disney World Resort guests experienced a shocking turn of events on Saturday evening when a man bypassed safety barriers at Magic Kingdom Park’s TRON Lightcycle / Run roller coaster, resulting in an emergency response and an unexpected ride closure. The guest reportedly fell 12 feet before making a failed attempt to board the ride.
Unexpected Chaos at TRON Lightcycle / Run
TRON Lightcycle / Run, one of Magic Kingdom Park’s newest attractions, has drawn massive crowds since its debut in April 2023. However, on Saturday evening, an unforeseen incident sent thousands of Disney Park guests into a state of confusion and concern.
While waiting in the queue, hundreds of guests were startled by a sudden “thud.” According to TikTok user Elisabeth (@disneydreamer_elisabeth), a man had leaped from an upper-level platform, dropping approximately 12 feet into the ride’s loading area.

Surprisingly, despite the fall, the guest quickly regained his footing. “[He] falls down, is sitting down there, and then gets up, and jumps over the security gate to get on the bike and then is slumped over on the bike,” Elisabeth said.
TRON Lightcycle / Run Evacuated as Situation Escalates
Initially, Disney cast members continued loading guests on the unaffected side of the attraction. However, they quickly made the decision to fully evacuate the area. Guests with Lightning Lane Single Passes were either refunded or given the opportunity to return at a later time.
“We don’t know what’s happening,” Elisabeth said. “Rumor is, it could be a Pro Bowl member. I don’t really know. Crazy. Never seen anything like that.”
Paramedics Arrive, Guest Taken Away on a Stretcher
Many guests who witnessed the event suspected the man was experiencing a mental health crisis. “He was not in his right mind,” Elisabeth added in a comment.
Emergency responders arrived shortly after the incident, transporting the individual away on a stretcher. While the extent of the guest’s condition remains unknown, witnesses reported that emergency crews acted quickly to stabilize him.
Walt Disney World Resort has not publicly commented on the situation, leaving it uncertain whether the guest will face any repercussions for his actions. TRON Lightcycle / Run reopened shortly after emergency responders transported him to the hospital.
