October is about to bring something extra for Universal Orlando Annual Passholders.
Universal has revealed a new complimentary Passholder magnet arriving October 1, 2026, and the resort is going all-in on Halloween Horror Nights for the design.
Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow will share the spotlight on the new collectible, making it noticeably different from a standard UOAP giveaway.
Passholders will also have two places to pick it up, and Halloween Horror Nights admission isn't part of the requirement.
The New Magnet Has a Very Different Look
There's no mistaking which Universal Orlando season inspired this giveaway.
The design uses blood-splattered “UOAP Passholder” lettering with red curtains framing the image. Universal then uses the “O” in UOAP to bring its two featured characters together.
One side features Jack the Clown, while the other features Dr. Oddfellow.
The result is a Passholder magnet that looks much more like a piece of Halloween Horror Nights memorabilia than a general Universal Orlando souvenir.
That's likely to make this giveaway appealing beyond guests who normally collect every UOAP magnet. Halloween Horror Nights has developed its own characters and history over the years, and this design taps directly into that part of the event.
October 1 Starts the Giveaway
Passholders shouldn't head to the parks looking for the magnet just yet.
The giveaway officially begins Wednesday, October 1.
Once distribution starts, Passholders will have a choice between Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure.
At Islands of Adventure, magnets will be available from the UOAP Lounge between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.
At Universal Studios Florida, guests can head to The Tonight Shop. Distribution at that location runs from park opening until park close.
That makes The Tonight Shop the more flexible option if you're worried about fitting the giveaway into an already busy park day.
The UOAP Lounge has a much shorter pickup window, so Passholders choosing that location will want to arrive before 4 p.m.
You Can Skip Halloween Horror Nights and Still Get One
Here's another detail that makes the giveaway easier.
Passholders don't need a Halloween Horror Nights ticket to receive the magnet.
While Jack and Dr. Oddfellow give the collectible an unmistakable HHN theme, Universal hasn't tied distribution exclusively to guests attending the separately ticketed event.
You could spend your day riding attractions at Islands of Adventure, stop at the UOAP Lounge and pick up the magnet without setting foot inside Halloween Horror Nights that evening.
The same applies to Passholders visiting Universal Studios Florida during normal operating hours.
That opens the giveaway to a much wider group of UOAP members, including families and other guests who may love Halloween but aren't interested in attending HHN.
Passholder Appreciation Days Are Almost Over
The October giveaway also arrives during a transition for Universal Orlando's Passholder perks.
Passholder Appreciation Days continue through September 30. During that period, Passholders can pick up a special wristlet keychain.
Then the calendar flips to October, and the new Halloween Horror Nights magnet arrives.
For someone visiting around the end of September, that creates two different collectibles separated by just one day.
Universal also has exclusive Halloween Horror Nights merchandise available specifically for UOAP members.
Another Reason for Passholders to Visit in October
Halloween Horror Nights already makes October one of Universal Orlando's biggest months of the year, but the new magnet gives Passholders another small reason to visit.
It doesn't require an additional Halloween Horror Nights ticket, and guests have two pickup locations to choose from.
Most importantly for collectors, the design isn't something Universal could release at any time of year. Jack the Clown, Dr. Oddfellow, blood-splattered lettering and the red-curtain background make it unmistakably connected to Halloween Horror Nights.
For Passholders hoping to add it to their collection, October 1 is the important date.
