Prior Guest Incidents at Universal Orlando Resort

Over the years, Universal Orlando Resort has seen multiple guest incidents that resulted in security or police involvement.

Reported cases have ranged from inappropriate physical contact with a bartender at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville to altercations during peak attendance periods.

One widely shared incident occurred during Halloween Horror Nights, when a fight reportedly broke out in the queue for The Terrifier house.

The incident prompted renewed discussion about guest behavior during special-ticketed events, particularly those involving alcohol and extended wait times.

Another confrontation occurred during annual passholder previews for Epic Universe.

According to her account, an entitled guest crawled under the queue barriers to enter the Single Rider line after previously waiting in standby.

When he noticed the standby line moving faster, he began yelling at a Universal team member, drawing attention from nearby guests.

The footage circulated widely online, sparking debate about entitlement and the treatment of frontline employees.

In May 2024, bodycam footage uploaded by Cop Action on Cam showed a visibly intoxicated school chaperone at Islands of Adventure.

An officer described the woman as being “very touchy.”

Video shows her attempting to book an Uber from Orlando to Miami before becoming emotional after being told she could not take her son.

School officials informed her that the child would remain with the group.

She argued with officers, complained about missing rides, and refused to leave despite warnings she would be arrested. The woman was ultimately trespassed from the property for one year.

Police Investigation at Volcano Bay

The most recent incident occurred at Universal's Volcano Bay on March 27, 2025.

Orlando Police Department officers were dispatched to the water park following reports of a battery involving a guest.

During the investigation, a woman defecated while officers were present.

In bodycam footage shared by Sunbelt Safety via Orlando Theme Park Zone, the woman can be heard saying, “I just s**t a turd out,” while wearing a swimsuit in a corridor.

An officer responded that she could “wipe [her] butt later.”

The woman was accompanied by a male guest and accused of throwing rocks at someone.

She repeatedly insisted that she had done nothing wrong.

At one point, she told officers she could not sit down because she had “a turd that's sitting in [her] underwear.”

She later stated that she was a student from Michigan.

In another moment captured on video, the woman bent over toward officers, claiming she had been denied access to a restroom.

“I really wanted to go and I was denied to go to the restroom,” she said.

The incident took place inside a park that includes attractions such as Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko'okiri Body Plunge, Ika Moana, Honu, and Maku.

The woman was charged with aggravated battery and taken to the Orange County Jail.

She was held for four months, with bond set at $2,000.

She later pleaded not guilty.

The case was ultimately dropped, with a judge ruling the matter unsuitable for prosecution.

According to Orlando Police Department records, officers responded after park employee Andrew Carson reported hearing someone shout “hey!” before being struck by an airborne object.

Carson sustained injuries during the incident, though the extent of those injuries has not been publicly disclosed.
