The Disney’s newest comes out on Disney+ next month, and this time the documentary will focus on polar ! Disney just released the official trailer for the newest feature film ahead of its streaming release on , 2022:
Polar Bear (2022) tells the story of a bear making her way through motherhood as the audience reflects on her own youth and the immense challenges that these animals face in the wild today. The film is narrated by Academy Award-nominated actress Catherine Keener, and directed by Alastair Fothergill and Jeff Wilson, known for their work on Disneynature’s Penguins (2019). Producers on the project include Fothergill, Wilson, and Ray Conli.
National Geographic will join the Earth Day lineup of new releases on Disney+ with the new films, Explorer: The Last Tepui and The Biggest Little Farm: The Return from National Geographic.
In addition to new releases on , Disneynature has shared the in honor of the ‘stars’ of the latest documentary film, the Disney Conservation Club has promised to continue their commitment of supporting these beautiful animals in their natural habitats that are consistently threatened. To support polar , the works with the nonprofit organization, (PBI) who work tirelessly to support polar in the wild and to protect their homes in the .
Polar Bear joins an extensive lineup of previously released Disneynature films including Bears (2014), Born in China (2016), African Cats (2011), Monkey Kingdom (2015), Chimpanzee (2012), and Elephant (2020), just to name a few.
Disneynature’s Polar Bear will debut on April 22, 2022, on Disney+. Additional Earth Day programming on Disney+ as well as events at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will likely be announced as well, especially where Earth Day is the anniversary of the theme park.
