If you’re a Walt Disney fan (and we assume you are as you’re reading a DisneyFanatic post!), we have some exciting news to share. Disney fans will now have the opportunity to tour Walt Disney’s hometown, Marceline, Missouri in a very special Walt way!
Walt was quoted saying, “I’m glad I’m a small-town boy, and I’m glad Marceline was my town.” Now, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is inviting D23 Gold Members back to Walt’s boyhood hometown for a one-of-a-kind experience. Not only will you be invited to explore the Walt Disney Hometown Museum, but you’ll also be visiting Walt Disney Elementary School, strolling down Marceline’s own “Main Street, U.S.A.,” and enjoying a special dinner reception outside Walt’s former farmhouse.
It all sounds too good to be true! This D23-exclusive day trip focuses on Walt and his love for Marceline, Missouri which was the inspiration for much of his Disney ideas. As Walt and Roy Disney agreed, “Everything connected with Marceline was a thrill to us.”
