Walt Disney World Buffets 101- Here Are A Few Favorites

Daisy Cape May Cafe

Buffets are a fabulous dining choice when visiting Walt Disney World since it allows guests to sample a variety of food and enjoy as much of it as guests want.  At Walt Disney World, guests can also meet some of their favorite characters during certain meals.
The biggest problem when it comes to choosing a restaurant with a buffet to dine at is figuring out what is specifically on the menu.  Menus can change from day to day, but Disney attempts to keep most of the selections the same so guests can plan their meals appropriately.  So, when choosing where to dine the next time at Disney World, here is your guide to what is on the menu for dinner at Cape May Café, 1900 Park Fare, Crystal Palace, and Boma!

1. Cape May Café (Beach Club Resort)

Dining at Beach Club is always a fantastic choice.  Guests can easily navigate to the resort from either Epcot or Hollywood Studios (or plan return trips after eating).  Additionally, the entire resort is wonderfully themed, has inviting views and shopping, as well as superb lounges.

Guests choosing to dine at Cape May Café will be treated to all-you-care-to-enjoy seafood feast featuring mussels, fried clam strips, paella, snow crab legs, salmon, fried shrimp, fried calamari, and fried cod.  Those wanting additional choices can also find a variety of fresh salads, a selection of pasta, chicken breasts, mashed potatoes, barbecue ribs, and strip loin.  Guests will also want to make sure to save room for dessert!  You’ll have your choice of seasonal cheesecake, chocolate cake, key lime chiffon cake, and caramel flan!

2. 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian Resort and Spa)

Another buffet located a hop, skip, and a jump from a theme park, 1900 Park Fare is located on the first floor of the main building.  Dinner is hosted by special Disney characters – Cinderella, Prince Charming, Lady Tremaine, Anastasia, and Drisella.  These characters will circulate throughout the restaurant during the meal and guests will have the opportunity to greet them and pose for photographs.

In addition to a bevy of chilled salads, guests can find herb-crusted strip loin or a jerk turkey breast served from a carving station.  Other hot entrees available include key lime-ginger grilled chicken, grilled salmon with an avocado salsa, fried catfish, and a Mongolian beef stir fry. On top of all of those choices guests will find a variety of sides: jasmine rice, mashed potatoes, pork loin, corn and conch chowder, mixed vegetables, and green beans and edamame. A variety of desserts are available — plus, the Polynesian is a short walk away so guests can always follow-up their meal with a refreshing Dole Whip at the Pineapple Lanai!
