Walt Disney World Offers $700 Per Person New Year’s Eve Event at California Grill

With last year’s New Year’s Eve celebrations being toned down due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to see special events for the holiday return to the Walt Disney World Resort this year. One upcoming event Walt Disney World has planned to ring in 2022, will take place at California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, for the (sticker shock warning ahead…) cost of $700 per person.

“A Golden New Year’s Eve in Wine Country,” will take Guests up to the 15th floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort to California Grill, where they can dine with sweeping views including a perfect look at the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom. The restaurant’s Napa Room will take on a new theme as a speakeasy just for this event, where Guests can relax with specialty cocktails and take in some live entertainment by a talented magician.

Disney characters will greet Guests in the Sonoma Room, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and just for this special occasion, Baby New Year Donald. Throughout the restaurant, Guests will find multiple food stations set up with special items in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. Disney history buffs will also be interested to try some of the offerings that are inspired by past menu items from California Grill’s storied legacy.

In addition to all of the above, “A Golden New Year’s Eve in Wine Country” will feature a DJ in the main dining area, a violinist moving throughout the restaurant, plus a gorgeous ice sculpture celebrating both California Grill and the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort. The event will be capped off with a champagne toast at midnight and views of the New Year’s Eve fireworks spectacular from the Magic Kingdom.

Reservations are limited and may be made by calling (407) 824-2013. Pricing per person is $700, including tax and gratuity, and Guests must pay in full at the time of booking. On December 31, 2021, Guests may check in at the restaurant at 7 pm with the event running 7 pm-12:30 am.
