Warning: These Disney World Attractions Are in Danger (And It’s Our Fault)

Disney World is always evolving. New rides, new lands, and fresh experiences are part of what keeps the magic alive. But while we all get excited for what’s new, it’s easy to forget that every new addition usually comes at a price—and that price is often paid by the attractions we tend to skip.

Let’s be honest. Disney is a business, and like any business, they rely on data to make decisions. If an attraction isn’t pulling its weight in terms of foot traffic and guest satisfaction, it gets flagged. And right now, several beloved attractions are on shaky ground—and we only have ourselves to blame.

Mickey’s PhilharMagic: A Hidden Gem Slipping Away

Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a fan-favorite among those who take the time to step inside, but the truth is many guests walk right by. This 4D musical journey celebrates Disney’s animated classics, but the theater often sits half-empty. And with Disney constantly looking at ways to inject fresh IP into the parks, a show that doesn’t fill seats is a prime target for change.

A vibrant night scene showcases a large, illuminated ancient stone pyramid surrounded by dense foliage and a tranquil body of water with lily pads. In the background, a volcano emits a subtle, glowing red light, adding to the dramatic atmosphere.

Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros: An Overlooked Adventure

Over in EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion, Gran Fiesta Tour is another attraction that’s quietly losing its audience. While The Three Caballeros have their fans, most visitors skip this boat ride entirely, choosing instead to grab a drink or explore the pavilion’s shopping and dining options. It’s long been rumored that Coco might replace it, and if we keep ignoring this charming boat ride, that rumor might soon become reality.

Carousel of Progress: Walt’s Legacy in Jeopardy

Walt Disney personally worked on Carousel of Progress, and yet, it’s one of the least trafficked attractions in Tomorrowland. The show is a living piece of Disney history, but its old-school presentation makes it easy for today’s guests to dismiss. If this keeps up, Disney could very well retire this slice of Walt’s vision in favor of something flashier.

An illuminated sign displays "Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress" in front of a circular building at night. The structure, a classic Disney ride, is brightly lit with colorful lights, and the surrounding area is landscaped with bushes and pathways.

Country Bear Jamboree: Clinging to Relevance

Country Bear Jamboree has survived longer than anyone expected, but its theater often sits empty these days. Even with an announced overhaul coming, if the new show doesn’t bring in bigger crowds, it’s easy to see the bears packing their instruments for good.

Andrew Boardwine

A frequent visitor of Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando Resort, Andrew will likely be found freefalling on Twilight Zone Tower of Terror or enjoying Pirates of the Caribbean. Over at Universal, he'll be taking in the thrills of the Jurassic World Velocicoaster and Revenge of the Mummy
