4. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
Taking up residence in the former home of the Great Movie Ride, this new attraction will shuttle guests through various show scenes featuring two classic Disney characters on unique and innovative ride vehicles. The new show will feature the new animation style of the characters featured on the family of Disney channels. You’ll want to snag a FastPass for this attraction as lines are expected to be long!
5. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
The crowning achievement to the revitalization of Hollywood Studios is Galaxy’s Edge. Guests will be transported to the outer rim of society to the Black Spire Outpost where the Resistance and the First Order battle for domination. Guests will be able to interact with natives of the planet at open-air markets and cantinas. Guests will also be able to experience immersive attractions that push boundaries! The Rise of the Resistance puts guests in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. The other attraction, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run invites guests to pilot one of the most famous ships in the history of the universe. The ride will take its cue from guests as they world together to pilot and navigate the ship!
6. Skyliner Transportation
With new resorts opening at Disney, guests will be able to get to the park in a new way. The Skyliner is designed to shuttle guests between Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and select resorts. In addition to cutting down on wait times and congestion of the roadways, the Skyliner system will offer stunning views of the parks and resorts and the surrounding property! Between busses, boats, and walking, guests will have four scenic ways to navigate to and from the park!
Hollywood Studios will shortly be a destination for anyone visiting Orlando, not just Disney World. With new attractions, lands, and shows debuting in the next year or so, guests will have plenty of new ways to enjoy an amazing theme park in addition to the classic thrill rides and shows that currently entertain guests!
