Which Disney World Resort Hotel is Best for Your Next Trip?

3. Are You Staying With Kids or Without?

Another thing to consider is whether you will be bringing kids along. Those staying with kids might prefer a vibrant, colorful, and bustling hotel. Meanwhile, those staying without kids could be looking for something a bit more relaxing.

Best Resort Hotels for Those With Kids

Value: Art of Animation Resort
Colorful and full of characters with an awesome pool and splash pad, this is a favorite of youngsters.

Moderate: Caribbean Beach Resort
Another resort that is full of color, Caribbean Beach resort also has an awesome pirate-themed water play area and pirate-themed rooms.

Deluxe: Polynesian Village Resort
With character dining with Lilo and Stitch, an amazing tropical water play area, a view of the fireworks, and even hula lessons, Polynesian Village is a great resort for kids of all ages.

Best Resort Hotels for Those Without Kids

Value: Pop Century Resort:
All Value Resorts include theming that might be considered childish by some, and all are going to have many kids running around. We wouldn’t call any of them “relaxing”, but we do think Pop Century wins for best adult-centered Value Resort. This is due to the nostalgic theming that only adults will understand, as well as the fact that Pop Century rarely hosts large groups of kids or teens. (All-Star Sports is notorious for this.)

Moderate: Port Orleans – French Quarter
Easily our favorite Moderate Resort, Port Orleans – French Quarter is relaxing, romantic, and includes some truly fabulous theming. Additionally, the Cajun-style food served in their restaurant is likely to be appreciated by adults, while kids might find it a bit too much.

Deluxe: Yacht Club
Honestly, a Deluxe Resort is always the best bet for an adults-only trip, and while there are many great Deluxe Resorts for this type of trip, we think Yacht Club is the winner. Families almost always choose to stay at the neighboring Beach Club Resort, meaning there will be far fewer kids around, and the theming and restaurant choices at this resort do tend to be more grown-up.
