Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Dining Guide

Mickey's Backyard BBQ

6. Geyser Point Bar and Grill (Wilderness Lodge)

The newest addition to Wilderness Lodge, Geyser Point is situated on the shores of Bay Lake and offers stunning views of the water, as well as delicious food and drink selections for hungry guests!  Featuring traditional selections with unique twists, guests will find a crab cake sandwich, a crispy chicken sandwich with chili aioli, a smoked turkey sandwich, a bacon cheeseburger, or a bison cheeseburger. Save some room for the unique desserts, too — an apple cider sorbet, as well as seasonal pie awaits your tastebuds at the end of the meal!

7. Mickey’s Backyard BBQ (Fort Wilderness)

Available through the end of 2018 before construction begins on the new DVC resort to replace the abandoned River Country, Mickey’s Backyard BBQ is another dinner show featuring homestyle selections – hamburgers, hot dogs, as well as barbecue in a relaxed atmosphere where guests can interact with Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Chip ‘n Dale.  Throughout the meal, guests will also be entertained by musicians, magicians, and other entertainers.  Similar to Hoop Dee Doo, guests will need to purchase tickets in advance for this experience.  Disney claims that this experience will re-open after construction is completed on the new resort, but if you can sneak a trip in before it closes, you won’t be disappointed!

We love exploring both of these resorts as the theming and tranquility makes you feel like you have left Disney World.  Dining at any of these restaurants on your next trip should definitely be on your list! What restaurant do you want to dine at the most?
