10 Disney World Desserts That Your Family Can't Miss

Zebra Domes

6. Zebra Domes

Did you know that each Zebra’s stripes are unique and no two zebras have the same pattern?  This applies to the most decadent dessert I’ve had on the Walt Disney World property, the zebra dome.  Zebra domes are only found at the Animal Kingdom Lodge’s quick service restaurant, The Mara, and Boma, an amazing buffet.  A zebra dome consists of a cake base topped with an Amarula cream liquor mousse in a panna-cotta white chocolate coating drizzled with milk chocolate stripes and chocolate shavings.  Sounds like a mouthful, right?  These little babies are totally worth a trip to the resort for dining even if you aren’t staying there.  These are an acquired taste (because of the liquor) and the little ones in my party weren’t the least bit interested in their taste.  Adults on the other hand, were in heaven!

7. Bread Pudding

‘Ohana, located at Disney’s Polynesian Resort, is one of the most beloved restaurants on the Walt Disney property.  If you ask me, I would say it’s no coincidence that the dessert is part of the reason that this restaurant sells out of reservations months in advance.  The bread pudding at ‘Ohana will make everyone’s mouth water.  This decadent bread pudding is topped off with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream and covered with rich caramel sauce.  The best part is that since this is an all-you-care-to-eat restaurant, you can order as many desserts for the table as you wish!  This dessert is so delicious, my family and I always have at least 2 when we visit.  If you’ve been saving your calories for something sweet, this is the dessert you’ll want to splurge on!
