10 Things Nobody Told Me About A Disney World Vacation

9. Lines, lines, lines

It’s inevitable.  You are going to wait in a few lines all day no matter what time of the year you will be visiting the parks.  Even with fastpasses, there will be times when you will be in line.  This may not sound so significant, but considering that we are in a time when we want things instantly, it is important to remember that waiting is part of a Disney day.  Take a deep breath and enjoy talking to your party or even meeting friends in line while you wait.  Bringing your own snacks also helps in this situation because you can snack while you wait.  Parades and shows also attract large crowds, so if you want to make sure you grab a good spot, I would grab one an hour prior to show time to ensure a great seat.  Be prepared for others to try to block your view though, as this ends to happen at every show and parade.  Just be prepared for this and you won’t be disappointed.

Natalie is an elementary school teacher and a native Floridian who lives and breathes all things Disney. Her love for Disney started at the age of two during her first visit, and has continued to flourish into her adult life. She loves to share her Disney passion with her students and believes Disney is so special because there is no other place to forget about your worries and be a kid again, which is why she refuses to ‘grow up’.
