2021 “Oogie Boogie Bash” Details Are Released

Disneyland’s Halloween Party (also known as the Oogie Boogie Bash) is a crowd favorite in the fall, and details have just been released for the event! We’d already seen some previews of the new villains that would be added to the party’s guest list, but now we have the details to go with those teasers! The Oogie Boogie Bash starts at 6 pm and lasts until 11, but party-goers can enjoy Disney California Adventure “as early as 3:00 p.m“. You can pay for parking on that same day, or book parking online ahead of time, and it’s suggested that Disney Guests take advantage of the available theme park parking. The Toy Story shuttles will also be running longer than usual on this day!

Strollers are recommended for families, and strollers can be rented near the Main Entrance to Disneyland and within the Pixar Pals parking area if you don’t have your own.

As far as the festivities go, there’s lots to enjoy, starting with Mickey’s Trick & Treat! This is an interactive children’s show that features dancing and child-friendly scares at the Disney Theater within Hollywood Land. The Immersive Treat Trails will be perfect for trick-or-treating (especially if you’re a fan of Mars Wrigley sweets, since they’ll be the main candy offered).  Villains might also be spotted along the way, and be sure to come in your Halloween costume!

Even though this event is Halloween-themed, it still has plenty of Disney magic and frivolity. The “Frightfully Fun Parade” is a perfect example of this dichotomy; Disney Guests can dance through the streets in a parade led by Sleepy Hollow’s Headless Horseman, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and a slew of Disney villains!  This parade will begin once at 7:45 p.m. and again at 10:00 p.m.

One of the biggest perks for Disney Guests is that they can still take advantage of Disney’s usual offerings on event nights! The new Avengers Campus, Cars Land (which will be undergoing a theme change for the spooky season), Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Toy Story Midway Mania!, and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will all be available to party guests!

In between the parades and the attractions, you might want to stop for snacks at “the themed eateries open during the party”, which includes both the Smokejumpers Grill in Grizzly Peak and the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Café on Buena Vista Street. Angry Dogs and Corn Dog Castle are both options, too!

For families who want a more elaborate sit-down meal, the Wine Country Trattoria is offering a special Oogie Boogie Bash Parade menu! Guests can sign up for a decadent three course meal and enjoy the parade from a reserved spot. You can book this dining experience in advance, but you can also upgrade your reservation on the day (although this is subject to availability). There’s also unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital downloads for Oogie Boogie Bash guests (as long as you scan your ticket into the Disneyland app for access).

As with any big Disney event, new merchandise is also being offered in tandem with the Halloween Party. There will be a new collection of Mickey and Minnie Pumpkin Spirit Jerseys, a Minnie Mouse headband, Oogie Boogie Bash items, and also some items that represent “Hocus Pocus”!
